NATURE COURSE 1 and 2

Part One - Registration is 69.00 - Begins: December 3, 2019
Nature Course #1 is being offered again, with updates to keep it current for you. Read more on my website: https://www.theclearandsimpleway.com/nature-angels
Come closer to your real nature by growing closer to nature and nature angels. Find your spiritual totem animal. Learn about nature spirits -- the nature angels -- and connect with them. Harmonize with the natural peaceful rhythms of nature.

The way to "see" nature spirits is by melding with nature. Become still and invisible.  As you leave behind human instincts, peace begins to fill you. Nature angels are so gentle, so soft. Do not ask them to enter your human world. Become invisible and enter the world of nature. Become harmless and unimportant, like a blade of grass or a trickle of water. Become timeless, like angels. Gaze softly upon green leaves, water, or empty sky. Experience the contours, textures, and depths that surround you. Let your eyes lovingly caress what they see.

Part Two - Registration is 69.00 - Begins: February 14, 2020
Nature Course #2 begins February 14, 2020. Read more on my website: https://www.theclearandsimpleway.com/nature-angels
Delve deep into the mysteries and esoteric meaning of Nature. In Nature are all answers, the connections we seek - if we can only see. Throughout time, sages, mystics, artists, musicians, and  spiritual masters have turned to nature for inspiration and enlightenment: Jesus went to the garden. Siddhartha sought the river. Buddha sat under a tree. Ramana Marharshi loved a mountain. Follow the course of nature to deepen your connection with angels and your true nature, which is the nature of Light, God, Truth, Reality.

The Unbearable Lightness of Earth¸¸.•*¨*.¸.

¸.•*¨*.¸.

People often pray for strength to bear their bad karma. Angels say, If you are going to pray, then pray for the strength to bear both the bad and the good. Strength and courage are as necessary to beauty as to difficulty.

This is being written March 2, 2016. I am sitting on an airplane in Orlando, Florida as we prepare to embark to Austin, Texas where I am hanging my hat for awhile. I decided to begin our new lesson now, so I pulled out my trusty macbook, curious what the title would be, and those trusty angels sent it to me instantly. I sort of borrowed it from a movie I once saw called, The Unbearable Lightness of Being.* I’ve always liked that title, so I am glad to use it for this lesson. What this lesson will be about, I do not know, although I feel the energy building. I am feeling the unbearable lightness of earth, but I must close for now, since the plane is about to depart.

Okay, dear students, I am now flying above Florida on my way to Austin this day of March 2, 2016. I flew out of Buffalo, New York this afternoon amidst snow and freezing temperatures. Now I am in another plane of existence. There is something about flying—between places, nothing to do but sit, with someone else completely in control. That could be frightening—and is to some people who are afraid to fly. Or it could be comforting—nothing to do but relax and entertain yourself while someone else pilots the plane.

Life on earth is a lot like being on a plane. Earth is the plane, or more accurately, a spaceship. Who is piloting the spaceship of earth? None of us. Earth moves fine without any help from us. It glides. It rotates. It is completely balanced on what we call its axis. The movement of earth through space provides us with a sense of continuity, a rhythm, a consistency that we can set our clocks by. We do not have to wonder if the sun will appear in the morning. It appears. We do not have to pray for the moon and stars and the dark of night. They arrive.

We exist in an easy natural rhythm of earth revolving around the sun. Even this plane gliding over the earth is held within the gravitational field of earth. Within the embrace of earth we are kept safe and sheltered.

There are many people on this airplane, just as there are many people on earth. Most of the passengers I will not interact with, just as you will not interact with most of the people on earth. Yet, we are here, sharing time and space together.

You are here on earth sharing time and space with other human beings, most of whom you will never meet. You will never know their names or that they even exist, just as they will never know you. The number of people you meet and interact with is quite small, comparatively. Many people you will encounter only once and never again.

What do these words really mean—the unbearable lightness of being, or as we are using them—the unbearable lightness of earth? What I like about the phrase is that it doesn’t mean anything. Someone made it up and I borrowed it, slightly altered. So it can mean anything. We can give our own meaning to it. The words are intriguing, like poetry or a koan. They make me think of how important it is to be here in full appreciation of the present moment. Things change so quickly.

This has certainly been true for me this last year. I just came from spending some weeks sitting with my sister-in-law, Cindy, in her hospital room, where she passed away from cancer. Ten months ago, her husband, Mitchell, my youngest brother, died. Six months ago my beloved Hirth died from cancer, and before that we lost our sweet dog, Penny. In the last years I have lost another brother, a sister, two young nephews, three cousins and my father, as well as other relatives and friends. So I know something about the unbearable lightness of being on earth. Things can change, as they say, in the blink of an eye.

Someone  said, You can’t step in the same river twice.** I remember repeating that to Hirth when he was alive on earth. Hirth had another way with words. He had another way of seeing. He replied, You can’t step in the same river once.

His words are true. You can’t step in the same river once. Everything is always changing. Nothing remains the same. This is part of the unbearable lightness of earth—of being here on our beautiful blue planet revolving somewhere in space—we can’t step into the same river once. Each moment is new and unique, different from the last, even when we are not aware of this. This is what is so exciting about being in the present moment.

In the present moment there is awareness. There is always and only awareness. Of everything. In the present moment you are fully in life. You are life. You are life itself. All of your senses are awake. You see, hear, sense, feel, intuit, and touch beyond your ordinary senses. You are in the present moment. You are the present moment. So is every other person, but they do not know this, just as you don’t. And so we pass each other by or complete our business with a person—the store clerk or the banker—without really seeing each other. When this happens, we miss the soul encounter that is also taking place.

Souls come together upon earth for reasons. Sometimes those reasons take a long time, such as in families, marriages, friendships. Other times we have the chance to learn or heal something in a moment. Even if another person is not aware, you can be. You can be aware of what is happening.

This doesn’t mean you must look for deep meaning in every encounter with every human being. That would be exhausting. But you can use every encounter as a reminder, an opportunity to be present where you are. If you are not present, anything can happen. You can buy the wrong bread or step on someone’s toes.

When you are aware you respond appropriately to the situations in your life. You respond from the wisdom in your heart. In only a few moments you can complete your karma with a person. You can receive a deep and lasting lesson for your soul. You can become free. When you are present for yourself, for the moment you are in, that is all that is needed. Be aware for yourself. Your state of consciousness affects everything and everyone you are with.

As I was sitting on the plane—now I am in Austin, writing to the sound of mourning doves cooing outside my window—a man and his wife entered the plane and sat behind me. I could overhear him talking to her. His words to her were gruff and impolite and I could feel the pain in their conversation. I rose slightly from my seat and looked behind me.

What I saw was an older man with white hair wearing a suit. His face was angry. He was sitting near the window and his wife was in the aisle seat, leaving the middle seat empty between them. I looked directly into the man’s eyes. My look was not harsh or judging, it was just looking, to see who he was, or who he thought he was. It was to let him know that his behavior was witnessed. Then I turned away. The rest of the plane ride the man was quiet.

The Pain of Believing

This was a chance encounter, yet one that had significance for both of us. I saw the years of anger aging his face with harshness. I looked into this eyes and only anger looked back. Behind the anger I saw the pain. I saw someone who had spent years perfecting his belief in himself. He was believing he was who he thought he was. He was unable to see the pain of believing. He was unaware that something was running his life, not something higher, but something lower.

He was unaware of any of this, just like most people. False beliefs are like cement poured into the mind, around the heart, hardening and solidifying the ego, making the false personality stronger.

Have you come to understand the pain in blind belief? The world encourages us to ‘believe.’ Political candidates do everything possible to make the populace believe in them. This is also what mass media is about. Everywhere we look, there is a campaign to make us believe that this detergent is the best or this drug or this movie. It’s challenging to learn to think for yourself when you are surrounded by a constant barrage of sound and sight,  striving for attention.

The unbearable lightness of earth. It surrounds each of us. With so much beauty. Truth. Love. Fragility. Life on earth is so fragile. Take a moment to consider your skin. Touch your skin. Your skin is like silk, strong and soft at the same time, able to cover and protect you.

Think of your bones—your shining white bones that support you. Your bones can be easily broken and yet they are strong enough to support you through life.

The human body is so strong and so fragile. It can be injured, punctured, broken in a moment. The human body is vulnerable to death and destruction at any moment—and yet we are still able to go through life for many years.

Have you realized the great faith it takes to go through life? Have you realized the courage it takes to go through life? When you doubt your faith, when you doubt your courage, try to remember that you walk through life each day supported and protected by shining white bones covered with silken skin, all designed to protect and support you on your journey here.

What gives you this faith? What gives you this courage? Think about it. Maybe stop and meditate upon this or do some writing of your own. You do not have to depend only upon my writing. You have your own. You have your own connection with the angels. You have your Inner Teacher.

Faith and Courage

Angels see you in your darkest hour. Angels arrive in your moment of need—angels are that fast—angels are that  compassionate—angels are that kind. Angels know you are not angel. You are human with all the qualities of being human. Sometimes you do believe in the negative forms of energy that course through your mind and body, imprisoning you with unfriendly thoughts. Angels understand this. Angels understand the pain that accompanies a human body, so vulnerable to injury, disease, and death. Angels honor your choice to come to earth in such a fragile human body, so vulnerable to hurt and pain. Angels sing your courage, your willingness to experience this human plane of existence.

When you think you lack faith, when you believe you have no courage, remember how much faith and courage it takes for you to step each morning upon the earth in such a fragile human body, never knowing what might befall you. Think about the faith it takes to fall into sleep each night. From where do your faith and courage arise?

The angels say, They arise from the Spirit of God within you. Your spirit is made of light, even though you may be only dimly aware of this light.

What is it that guides you? What is it that holds you up? What is it that enables you to go into the world each day, never knowing what will happen? What is it that allows you to sink into slumber each night, with faith that you will awaken to a new day? What is it that gives you the courage to pass from this earth when it is time for passing? For surely, even death, which you cannot control, takes some courage. Angels assure you, even at the moment of death, courage is with you. Even if you do not feel it now, it will be there when you need it.

Deep within you is the memory of God. You come to earth with this memory. It is not a human memory. It is a soul memory and has nothing to do with a fictitious past. Soul memory is in the present. It is connected to your true and absolute nature.

The Kingdom of Heaven is Within

Within you is the power of God. This is the power that guides you through life. This power gives you faith and courage to continue your journey on earth, no matter what obstacles you face. How do you know this is so? Because you are here. You are reading these words with a sincere desire to come closer to God.

No matter what obstacles you have faced, no matter the losses, tragedies, and failures, you are here now. You have not given up. Even when it seems as if you have given up, and sometimes it does, you do not have to believe that. You do not have to believe a negative thought that tells you that you have given up, that you have no faith, no courage. You can choose not to believe negative thoughts, no matter how persuasive they are, no matter how they make you feel.

Courage exists for you. Faith propels you forward. The one who believes you have given up does not exist. That one does not exist. It is only a belief—a false belief. Thoughts that you believe create your experience of life, but that does not make the experience real and lasting. It is temporary, based upon a thought.

Think about this. Reflect upon this. Contemplate this. Meditate upon this. This is something worth thinking about—with your heart. It is worth writing about. It is worth discussing with your spiritual companions. It is worth reading about.

The one who believes, ‘I have given up,’ is the one who does not exist. The one who believes, ‘I have no faith,’ is deceived. The one who believes, ‘I lack courage,’ is the one who has no substance, no permanency, no reality. It is not the real you. It is the false you.

Think about this. Reflect upon this. Contemplate this. Meditate upon this. This is something worth thinking about—with your heart. It is worth writing about. It is worth discussing with your spiritual companions along the way. It is worth reading about. It is worth repeating.

The false self has no courage or strength. That is not your true nature. You have been identifying with a false you instead of a true you. Now you know who you are not. Now you can understand. The one you have been identifying with all your life is the one that is not you. Isn’t it a relief to know this? Truth is always a relief.

The one who believes that you are limited, incapable, unattractive, not enough, that you have no faith or courage—that one is not you. It never has been you. It is a deceiver. A false believer. An invader. A criminal. A thief. It robs you of your peace.

It is not real. Listen. It really is this simple. Truth really is this simple. Truth is not, never has been, some complicated difficult task that you are not smart enough or good enough to understand. Truth is in these words. Everything is revealed to you when you have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart open to receive.

The spark of courage that you need in order to walk upon this earth came here with you. God did not send you here with nothing. The faith that brought you to earth is with you now. Feel it. You can feel it. You can know it is here now. It is here. You are not alone. God has never left you alone. You have believed a false voice, an unreal voice. The angels have been speaking for many lessons now to your human personality, offering it many lessons to wake from the sleep of believing. It takes many lessons to arrive here. Are you here?

Be here. Be here in your body. Connect to your soul. Use your common sense. Use your practical mind. Then you will know and experience the truth of these words for yourself. Call upon the faith and courage that are within you now. Now. Call now. Now.

Heaven on Earth

We have said in past lessons that you have no courage. We have said that you can be as afraid as you like. Do you remember this? If you have forgotten, no worries—your soul has not forgotten. Your soul never forgets. Your soul is made of remembrance. Divine remembrance.

When we said these words in the past, we were speaking to your human personality. We were awakening you to the truth of the ego, which is made of beliefs. That false self, that ego, has no strength or courage of its own. It has no faith. It can’t have, because it isn’t—it isn’t real. It does not exist. And yet it believes. False believing brings it into existence.

This existence, as false as it is, feels so real and powerful that it covers up what is real. This is called maya. It is called the illusion. It is the veil. It is everything you are not. Because you live mostly from this false sense of identity, the angels must speak again and again to this you.

Now the angels are shaking you up, waking you up. The veil of maya is a shroud. Only the dead wear shrouds, isn’t this right? Are you dead or are you alive? Why do you think zombie movies and shows about the living dead are so popular? Have you ever thought about it?

Shroud: 1. a length of cloth or an enveloping garment in which a dead person is wrapped for burial. 2. a thing that envelops or obscures something.

God is Within You and Without You

God is within you. So is heaven. Your true nature is heaven. It is peaceful. It is everything that is. It is why you are here. You are born with everything you need to get where you want to go. Where do you want to go?

This lesson has brought you some valuable truths. Everything you need is everything you were born with. A bright spark of courage and faith were born with you. You have forgotten that spark, but it has not forgotten you. It is your soul essence.

Think about this. With Heart connected to Divine Intelligence.

You never do walk alone. You are never without courage and faith. You are never without everything you need to realize your divine potential. You are never without everything you need. You can do whatever you must do. You have all the power, all the love, all the courage, and all the faith to do all the things you must do. It is always available to you. It takes faith to know this, especially when the way seems hard. It takes courage to move forward when you can’t feel that courage.

As you go throughout your next days, keep remembering this bright spark of faith and courage that you were born with. Let yourself know it is there. As you come to experience it, you will also come to believe it—not as a blind belief—but as a deep inner knowing that arises from your heart and soul, from the memory of God that brought you here.

Suggested Homework

As you go throughout your life remember that a light is shining in your heart like a pure bright crystal. This light gives you all the courage and faith you need to go throughout your day, to meet all obstacles. It gives you the strength necessary to complete the daily tasks of your life.

Try your best to remember and make contact with this Light. That which you are trying to contact is trying to contact you. The angels are God’s divine messengers and they are constantly speaking words of wisdom, truth, and healing to you—singing to you, Remember, remember, remember. Turn towards the Light and remember who you are.

You are not without strength and courage. You are not lacking in faith. You were born with a pure bright crystal of light within you. When you let go of cares and worries, you will see that you have no cares or worries, except those you create with your thinking.  You will understand that there is no ‘problem’ without a solution, even though those solutions may take time to manifest. Remember that you do not have to like every solution. Who says you must ‘like’ every solution? Give that idea up.

Who is there to ‘like’ every solution? Answers come in God’s time and design, not yours. The ego attempts to control and create its own solutions and answers to every question, every problem. This is the problem.

The ego is the problem. ‘Ego’ are the problem. Get  ‘ego’ out of the way and you will see clearly and purely. You will see God’s perfect design, and in that seeing, you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. You will dwell forever in the house of Truth, of God, the house of the Goddess, the Divine Mother. Forever takes place only now. Only here. Only in the present moment. Enter the present moment of God, Truth, Reality, and you will be home. You will be free.

You were born with everything you need. The golden key is within you. When you find that key, you will know that no key was necessary. The door was never locked. There was no door. You are free. Now. Eternally. You always were.

With grateful love,
your grateful teacher,
Indira

A Song of degrees or A Pilgrim Song

1. I WILL lift up mine eyes to the mountain from whence comes my help. 2. My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 3. He will not allow your foot to be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. 4. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5. *The Unbearable Lightness of Being was a novel by Milan Kundera before it was a movie, though I haven’t read it. It was first published in French in 1984 as L'Insoutenable légèreté de l'être.

The original Czech text was published the following year.

In a note to the Czech edition of the book, Kundera remarks that the movie had very little to do with the spirit either of the novel or the characters in it. In the same note Kundera goes on to say that after this experience he no longer allows any adaptations of his work.

The first English translation by Michael Henry Heim was published in hardback in 1984 by Harper & Row in the US, and Faber and Faber in the UK.

Be Kind

When in doubt be kind
You can be firm and be kind
You can be honest and be kind

You can tend the little seeds of kindness within you
You can shine when the world seems dark
so the tiny seeds
are not afraid to grow
and fill your heart

Breathe in kindness
Let it fill you

There is no benevolent reason
for meeting hostility with hostility
No kind reason for perpetuating little wars
God knows there's more than enough war
out there already

BE OF GOOD CHEER

Be of good cheer. There is a way to be free. Use this lifetime to remember your commitment to LOVE. Realize that the people in your life are here to remind you to return to love. Forget if anyone else returns to love. You do it. This is how you fulfill your soul commitment. This is how you become free from unhealthy human dependence. This is how you break free of the wheel of karma.

PRECIOUS FRIEND

I am posting this complete lesson, which some of you may—or may not—have read. As the years roll by I sometimes modify how I send the lessons. This was first written in 2017. I have made some changes. The lessons are always evolving.

Lesson 99
PRECIOUS FRIEND

God is here and God is not what you thought. God has come and God is not what you thought. God has never been your thoughts. God is a fire burning away your ideas of who you think God is. God is a fire burning away your ideas of who you think you are. Wake up!

Lesson 99
PRECIOUS FRIEND

God is here and God is not what you thought. God has come and God is not what you thought. God has never been your thoughts. God is a fire burning away your ideas of who you think God is. God is a fire burning away your ideas of who you think you are. Wake up!

“Oh Happy Day!”

Precious Friend,

Today I address you as precious because you are. You will recall this definition of precious from your last lesson: Precious: of great value; not to be wasted or treated carelessly: greatly loved or treasured by someone.

Your life on earth is precious. Your life is not to be wasted or treated carelessly. You have come to this earth for a reason. You have come to your school for a reason. You and I are connected for a reason. You are connected to all the people in your life for a reason. That reason is Love.

LOVE

Love is the reason souls incarnate together upon Mother Earth. Incarnation gives souls a chance to work on themselves, to come into complete love, into Light. The Great Light is without darkness. Can you imagine this? Think of the sun. Is there darkness in the sun? No, but there is darkness in our vision. If we look at the sun too long our eyes cannot bear it. If we look too long we can damage our eyes and even become blind.

The True Light, the Great Light of God, is like this. We cannot enter into it completely until we ourselves are without darkness—until we have evolved from darkness into light. From love, souls agree to come to earth to help each other evolve into love. This is why you and I are together in the School of Angels, why each of you is here with your classmates. You have a soul commitment to each other. Even if you never see each other, you still have this commitment; otherwise, you cannot be here. When we finally fulfill our soul commitments, we are free. Free of karma. Free of the cycle of birth and rebirth.

Each soul has an equal opportunity to use the Schoolroom of Earth to evolve into love. You must not wait for someone else to make this great change from darkness to light. You must make it. Only as your light becomes brighter do you have the possibility to brighten the path for others. You can be a beacon of light in the dark forest of ego, but you cannot do this if your own lamp is not lit.

“Brighten the Corner Where You Are”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5I4ZRHVpEo

You do not do someone else or yourself a favor by staying in the darkness. Each time you make an agreement with yourself to stay in a negative reaction, you are making a choice to stay in darkness. You are making a choice to hurt yourself. You are not treating yourself like a precious friend. You are violating your soul agreement, the reason you came to earth. This is what causes the wheel of karma, the cycle of rebirth or reincarnation, to keep on spinning, lifetime after lifetime. I have written about reincarnation in past lessons. The three that come to mind are Being Whole, Courage To Be You, and Transforming the Past, should you care to review them.

Speaking of darkness, what does this verse say to you" 20 ¶ Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

What it says to me is that we live from our wrong nature. Ego calls what is bad for us—good for us. A woman who smokes, for example, will call that cigarette good. It relaxes and soothes her, she will say. You may not smoke, but what else do you call good for you, when it is really bad for you?

Instant Homework: You are invited to stop reading now and think about this question: What do I call good for me, that is really bad for me? Make a list of things you believe are good for you, which are actually harmful. When you are done, go on to the next page in your lesson. No peeking till you try it for yourself! Go on an enchanted walk inside your own psyche and find out what is true for you.

What are some of the things the average human being believes are good for them which are not? Here are some examples that apply to everyone:

Anger -  “Yes! It is good for me to be angry! I have a right to be angry! I should be angry! I must defend myself!”

Blame - “Yes! It is that other person’s fault I feel this way! I have a right to be angry at that person. If I am not angry, that means I have no self-respect.”

The right to be hurt - “Yes! That person insulted me. Of course I am insulted. I am hurt. Very hurt. And the other person is to blame! I am so hurt and angry.”

Indignation - “Yes! I am indignant because I have received unfair treatment. The world should treat me with the respect I deserve. How could he or she or they not see who I am? How could anyone not treat me the way I deserve to be treated?  I am hurt, angry, and the world is to blame!”

I am above rules and laws - “Why did that policemen give me a ticket? I have a right to park in a no parking zone because I was in a hurry and there was no other place to park. I should not have to obey the rules everyone else obeys. That cop is wrong to give me a ticket. He is to blame. The stupid rules are to blame. I am a victim! I am angry and hurt and indignant and it is not my fault!”

These are some of the ways we fool ourselves, or that we are fooled, into calling darkness light. Over the course of our life, because we are surrounded by other unconscious people, we become convinced of false beliefs, which then begin to rule our lives. Even when we don’t know that we harbor secret negative beliefs, we do. You can see that the ideas in the list above can only hurt you. But when we are angry or upset, we don’t care. Right? Be honest with yourself. You don’t care, or else you’d let it go. Right?

No one holds onto anger and bitterness consciously. A conscious being would never hold on. He’d let go. She’d let it pass through her, without attaching to the negativity. The whole range of emotions might still exist, but there’d be no attachment, no false thrill from identifying with a negative emotion and holding on to it.

What’s another reason that we call things, feelings, and situations that are bad for us good for us? I know you know the answer. Please think about this and find your own answer before going on to the next paragraph.

What answer did you arrive at? I am sure your answer is right, even if it is different from mine. There can be different answers to the same question! The angelic answer is that we call what is bad for us good for us because it makes the ego stronger. It causes a feeling of separation. A feeling of superiority—or inferiority; it’s all the same to the ego. It separates us from each other, which separates us from love. Or, you could say, it separates us from love, which separates us from each other. It keeps us from completing our soul commitments, which keeps us from completing our soul journey.

Ego likes this. It is ego’s way of keeping to its own nature, which is negativity; darkness; separation; lack, loss, fear, and endless limitation.

Our soul journey—and our sole journey—is love. Love is the reason we are here. We don’t talk so much about love in our school because the ego is so quick to latch onto that word and claim it. The ego is always quick to claim itself as love, to claim that it knows everything about love. To rise above ego, we must have the humility to admit we know very little about love.

It’s okay, though, that we know so little about love. Love knows everything about us. We can count on this. It is one thing we can count on for sure. We can also count on the idea that we know so little about love. The ego does not like to hear that. The ego will get indignant, hurt, and angry at such a thought. This is because ego thinks it is above the laws of the universe. Ego wants to make its own laws. The ego is an outlaw! It exists outside the laws of the Universe: God’s laws.

God’s laws create a beautiful and perfect universe that is always in harmony and balance. Everything works right in God’s creation. Gravity holds us all in place on earth. The earth revolves around the sun. The sun gives us light. The stars give us beauty. The moon gives us magic in the night. Yes, everything is right in God’s perfect sight.

The ego has imperfect sight. Since we are still, sigh, mostly run by ego, then so do we have imperfect sight. We see things not as they are, but as we are.

The main purpose of this lesson has been to awaken you to the fact of how precious your life on earth is. To help you understand—and perhaps remember—that love is what brings you here. Your soul arrives here as Spirit and enters into a physical body, in the form of a brand new baby. You come here to return to love.

If you truly honestly knew what love was, the angelic definition, the heavenly definition, you'd be living there every minute. And you could never be unhappy or negative. You'd be living the Realization of Love. You'd be the Realization of Love.

Let yourself know that you have many ideas about love, most of them limiting and false, loaded with expectations and resentments. Let it be okay that you don't really know what love is. This will assist you greatly on your path. When you understand how little you know of love, you become innocent and pure. You open yourself to receiving true love, not the false definition of love that the world gives.

Isn’t it a relief to know that you don’t know what love is? Isn’t it a relief to realize that your attempts to love and be loved have led mostly to frustration? Can you say you are truly fulfilled in love? With your partner? Your child? Your parent? Your friend? Hasn’t everyone failed to live up to your expectations? Let you down?

If you answer honestly, the answer must be yes.

An honest answer can help you take a good look at the ego, which is always disgruntled and dissatisfied. It can help you look into the darkness. It can help you see where you are calling darkness light and bad good.

The more that you can see yourself as you are, not with rose-colored glasses, but really as you are, the more chance you have to become free. You cannot change direction on your path unless you first understand that you are headed in the wrong direction. (I wrote about rose-colored glasses in your past lesson, Darkness and Light: Light and Darkness.)

You came here from love. Love guides you. You are returning to love. Give up your ideas about love. Love is not an idea. Just know that you are traveling into love. You can know this, even when you do not know what love is. You can know you are traveling into the mountains, even if you have never been to the mountains. You can know because the map or GPS tells you so. Because others have been there before you. Because the very atmosphere begins to change as you move closer to the mountains, even when you can’t yet see them. You can feel an inner excitement, a right excitement.

It is such a relief not to know—to give up being the knower, thinking you have to know, telling other people how much you know. Not knowing is a kind of surrender. A surrender to Truth. To Love. You get so tired of having to know, trying to know, that you just give in. You give into love. And then you find that love holds you up. It always has. The illusion was that you were holding yourself up.

Study this lesson for the next month and apply it to your life and affairs. Let it Guide you. Give up trying to guide yourself on the path to True Love. Give it up a thousand times a day. When you do, love will come and hold you, Guide you. Love you. Be you. A thousand times a day. Forever. In this perfect and eternal Now.

12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
-Psalms 139:12 ESC

We can't think our way to God, Enlightenment, Truth, Reality, Heaven

There is practical thought, which is necessary to live in this world. But we can't think our way to God. God is beyond all thought. Thought can't take us any higher than itself. Thought is horizontal in nature.

What we do have, as human beings, is the power to SEE. We can use thought to make an airline reservation — and fly from here to there — but thought can't take us to God.

When we continually consult our own thinking as the way out (of suffering, lack, loss, fear, and limitation) — we can't go any higher than that thinking, which is the problem in the first place.

SEEING this — really SEEING — is the breakthrough that propels us to a new level
a higher level of Being.

We use thought in the way we might use a thorn to get another thorn out of our foot. Once the thorn is out, we throw them both away. xoxo

THE LOST FAIRY

Maybe you have children who would like this little story. Or maybe it's for the childlike part in you. We want to keep the childlike part alive. It's the wonder, the magic, the curiosity, which is often killed, subdued, repressed as we grow older. This happens—in one way or another—to  everyone. Spiritual awakening includes awakening all the positive parts that live within you. Life is not about becoming serious and heavy. It's not about becoming jaded and...boring. No. Not at all. And there is a difference between being childish and childlike. Childish is for children who are still learning and growing. Childlike, as we define it—full of wonder, curiosity, joy, and magic—is for everyone. It is innocent and loving with no intent to harm life.

THE LOST FAIRY

I should have known she was only pretending to be lost. How can a fairy ever really be lost? No matter what a fairy tells you, no matter how contrary a fairy acts — and fairies can act very contrary — all fairies belong to the kingdom of angels. So, just like an angel can never get lost, neither can a fairy.

Still, on this particular day, this particular fairy did her best to convince me that she was lost. She sighed and let her big eyes look very sad. She sat down on a coppery-colored mushroom in the middle of a fairy ring and pouted. She flew around in circles like she had no idea which way to go.

Finally, she insisted that she had to sit on my shoulder, so she could have a good look around and find out where she was.

"You are right where you are," I said.

She scowled.

"You've got wings,” I said, “Fly high.”

She scowled again and told me she was tired and too full of taffy to fly, except in circles, and circles never got her anywhere.

"Taffy?" I said. "When were you eating taffy?"

She told me it was none of my business.

I rolled my eyes to the heavens. Who can argue with a fairy, especially a lost one? I picked her up, put her on my shoulder, and started my walk through the jungly trees, my little dog at my side. I must have walked about a mile with the little fairy happily buzzing, humming, and chattering in my ear.

Want to hear the more of this story? So do I, but I ran out of words. You are welcome to write your own ending, so long as it’s happy. Fairies only like happy endings.

WORRY ROSARY

WORRY ROSARY

When you are worried, you can ask God to give you faith. You can ask the angels to protect and guide you and your loved ones. You can remind yourself to relax.

Breathe in love. Breathe out love.

Visualize love as a soft golden light that fills and surrounds you. Visualize love as a soft golden light surrounding the person or situation you are concerned about. Energy is real and energy is shared, even when you are not with someone. So let yourself feel the love that supports and nourishes not only others, but also yourself. The angels lovingly remind you that the peace of your own being is a wonderful gift to share, not only with others, but also with yourself.

The Fairy and the Elf

...the fanciful and magical and creative energy of the Universe is everywhere. When we leave our ordinary world behind, all sorts of magical adventures are possible.

Today I met an elf pretending to be a little boy. I knew he was an elf because when I knelt down to talk to him, light beamed from his eyes and I felt happy all over. He said he was four, but in elfin time that probably meant 400. Or maybe 29. It's hard to know with elves.

I wanted to bring him home with me and feed him elf food. I think elf food is graham crackers and weak tea with lots of honey floating with violet petals. I wanted to sit and look into his eyes for a long time. Looking into elfin eyes is magical. It makes time disappear. It makes you feel happy, light, and free. It makes you laugh. And laugh.

But he was more interested in the fairy with hair like pink cotton candy and eyes as green as grass. Before I knew it, he and the fairy were giggling together, like I didn't even exist. I tried to get their attention, but they were lost to me. Then some people came along and saw me talking to myself (well, I wasn't, I was talking to the fairy and the elf, but only I could see them) so I straightened up and pretended that I had been talking into my cell phone all along. The people looked relieved and went on their way.
I stayed and watched the fairy and the elf until I had to go back to work. When I was finished, I stopped by to see if they were still there. There were gone, but I found a tiny strand of curly pink cotton candy hair where they had been. The strand of hair is really cool. It glows in the dark and smells like peppermint.

THE SILENT FAIRIES

The silent faeries came again last night
barely visible in the fog
that filled the forest
I felt them more than saw them
their silvery shivery presence
slipping past me
I walked among them
deep into the night
thinking nothing
being nothing.

You are . . .

Dearest One  Dearest Light  Lovely child of God

YOU are the romance of the stars
the complete peace of space that holds the stars in place
the tree that falls never alone in the forest
the limitless space the tree falls through
the earth which embraces its falling
the bird that flees its branches
the empty sky the bird flies to
the sound of every tree falling
the one who hears the sound of every tree falling

You are your darkest hour
You are the light that fills that hour

ANGELS see you in your darkest hour
Angels arrive in the moment of need
Angels are that fast, that compassionate, that kind
Angels know you are not angel

You are human with all the qualities of being human

Angels understand this
They understand the pain that accompanies a human body
Angels honor you for being here in such a fragile vessel
so vulnerable to pain and death
Angels sing your courage, your willingness
to experience this human plane of existence.

Faires

I thought I would post some of my fairy poems, just sweet innocent little flowery poems. Because there are fairies. Fairies are part of the angelic kingdom. Just like there are all kinds of people, there are all kinds of angels. God is not limited.
Think how many stars there are. Actually, no one really knows how many there are. Astronomers estimate there are about 100 thousand million stars in the Milky Way alone. Outside that, there are millions upon millions of other galaxies also, all filled with their own stars.

Well, I started this to post a fairy poem, but now I am reminded of one of my favorite poems by Sara Teasdale, so I will post that. I especially like her ending.

Stars

Alone in the night
On a dark hill
With pines around me
Spicy and still,
And a heaven full of stars
Over my head,
White and topaz
And misty red;
Myriads with beating
Hearts of fire
That aeons
Cannot vex or tire;
Up the dome of heaven
Like a great hill,
I watch them marching
Stately and still,
And I know that I
Am honored to be
Witness
Of so much majesty.

And this is her picture:

I Release and Heal

I release my parents from the feeling that they have failed me and are responsible for all my problems today. I release myself to become a mature responsible adult, not a dependent petulant child.

I release my children from the need to bring pride to me, so they are free to follow their own path, according to the Divine Will within them.

I release my partner from the expectation that he or she must complete me so that I will feel whole. I take full responsibility for completing myself through my contact with my Higher Power.

I release my work, my job, from an obligation to do more than support my life so that I can take care of myself, my dependents, and complete my spiritual work on earth. I release my job from the idea that it is obligated to bring me great success, pride, or wealth.

I accept that my work, my job, has none of these obligations. Anything more than my daily bread is a gift—one I share freely when it is more than I need. I imbibe the true meaning of the prayer: Great Universal Energy: Give us this day our daily bread.

I release my past and the bars that bind me to memories. When I am not bound tight to the past, I have the energy to devote to this Present Moment, to be free, to know God. I use memory for rightness—for what is needed Now. I use memory to remember who I AM.

I release my clinging to objects, with faith that whatever I need will appear when it is needed, as it always has and always will. I release all objects from the responsibility to fulfill me, to make me more, to make me better than anyone else.

I release the future, knowing that when I let it go, it floats freely from me, into the great Sky of Being. I allow Creation to do what it does best—create the future for me now in this perfect Present Moment.

I release my mind from the pressure of believing it must create. It is free to be what it is meant to be: A tool for practical thinking, right use of memory, and practical actions.

I release my mind from the pressure of constantly thinking about what it has no power over, no power to do, so that it can a pure conduit through which Creativity can flow, unimpeded.

I thank and honor all those who came before me, all my ancestors and grandparents—all my relations. I understand that everyone on earth—everyone who was or will be—is my relation. We are all connected. We are all made from stardust. Everyone is my brother, my sister, my mother and father, my child, and we are One.

I release the false me, the ego—with gratitude—for what it has given me, for what it has taught me. I harbor no resentment towards it, no anger. I thank it for all it has shown me. I now let it go. I let it relax into pure being.

I release all those who have harmed me, if only in my beliefs. I thank you for what I have learned from you. I allow compassion to replace resentment and pain, for that is the pathway to healing.

I release myself from all those I have harmed, if only in my beliefs. I thank myself for letting go. I  allow compassion to grow within me, for that is the pathway to healing.

I allow myself to be transparent before God. I move and live and have my being within the Presence of the greatest Healing Force, and I am grateful. Thank you, God. Thank you Divine Mother. Thank you Father Sky. Thank you all my ancestors. Thank you world. I love you world, for you are a teacher, and I step away from you now—for I am in you, but not of you. I thank you Mother Earth—for my body comes from you, as you come from the stars, and my spirit returns to Consciousness, as masculine (Shiva) and feminine (Shakti) unite in ecstatic unity, and we are One.

It is from supreme gratitude that supreme awakening arises, moment after moment, as ocean waves arise, non-ending, from the great quiet that is the depth of the ocean, from the unity of ocean with moon which receives its light from sun; thus is formed a great circle from which all life flows over and over again. And I am grateful. Thank you.

Springtime Thoughts

Spring Daffodil I found on my walk here.
Since I am in a new time zone with changing weather patterns—including April showers and refreshing air (unlike the cities I have been living in) which I love and many people complain about—the rain and cold that is,—anxious as they are for summer sun…I often think of this angel writing, which you may have read—I first wrote it for a monthly lesson called,  'Angels Everywhere!'—which turned out to be one of my favorite lessons...

...but it was written at a very difficult time, following the death of my only sister, Sue, on a cold grey Christmas morning, from a long painful illness.

The first words of that lesson were, “Are angels with us always? Yes! Always!”

And the lesson went onto say…"Angels love all kinds of weather. Angels are not dependent on the sun for light the way we are. Angels shine with their own light. You shine with your own light too. When you are living from your heart even the most somber winter day can seem warm and peaceful—because real peace is independent of any experience. Even the most somber moment can be filled with peace—because peace is the backdrop upon which everything is written.”

Over the years, the more I write, read, and study the lessons, the more I work on practicing the teachings—the more I imbibe. Because as the lessons say, What good are spiritual teachings if you cannot apply them to everyday life? If they do not offer you personal transformation?

The more I work with the angelic teachings, the more they became part of my life. It’s one thing to adapt to the outside weather—but what about adapting to inside weather? What about dealing with the changes, not only in weather patterns, but the weather patterns of our lives?

If you are still buffeted about by people, situations, and events—remember, you have your lessons. You have the teachings of the angels to guide you and remind you to go within — that you are more than your body, more than emotions, more than passing thoughts.

Just yesterday I was given some misinformation by a government official, which meant a huge (for me) financial loss. I was shocked, but not defeated. It did not throw me into anxiety the way it once would have. I just felt  the shock and stayed with it—instead of letting thoughts add unnecessary emotional and mental suffering. I stayed with what was.

I researched and took some actions to rectify the situation, because I felt that what she had told me was not accurate. In the end, I found out she was wrong. The whole drama had been just…a drama.

The positive outcome of this is that I was given a chance to see that there was a transformation within me. Real transformation often happens so deeply and slowly that we do not realize it has taken place. It’s not like those sudden “changes” we all have had—you know—where you think you have “changed” forever. You get high about it and maybe tell everyone. You believe it is permanent. Then it all collapses and you feel like you are just the same old person in pain, which brings even greater pain.

This is because there is still a “you” there to get high. There is a “you” who believes you have “changed.” In truth, there is no “you” and never was. “You” is always thinking…thinking…thinking. But a thought of change is not change. “You” cannot change because you just don’t exist.

When true change comes, it is not “you” changing—it is a bit of you being chipped away, the way a sculpture chips away bits of rock to reveal the sculpture that was always there, hidden within the rock.

So I was enabled to see—that some of the old me was gone in that moment. I say in that moment, because if I talk about the future, then it is “me” doing the talking—putting “me” into it. There is no me and never could be. There is only what IS.

We only have this moment. When this is remembered, we can sink deep into the present moment and rise higher than whatever problem we face. This is what happened for me the other day. I could have been controlled by what the official told me. I could have let it sink me into suffering. If I had done that, I wouldn’t have felt compelled to research the information and find out for myself what was true.

Some part of me, the practical mind—the mind that works for us and is our friend—questioned what she said. So even in the midst of shock, I was able to take constructive action. I was willing to be wrong— those of you who work with me personally in seminars—may have heard me say this, as I often do when working with someone: I am willing to be wrong.

And I mean that. But…I am also willing to be right. Both have different outcomes, and both are okay because…I  am willing to accept either possibility—being wrong or being right.

When we can come to this place: I am willing to be  wrong. I am willing to be right. I am willing to accept either possibility—
then there is inner quiet. Inner peace. The struggle to be “right” and “win” is gone. You realize that the spiritual journey is not about competition—that’s the way of the world. The way of Spirit is just to be and let life unfold—discover what is and what will be.

So the other day when I heard this shocking news, I just stayed with the shock. I noticed my mind wanting to interfere—remember that darkness attacks when we are in a weakened position—and tell me how wrong I was, how I had made a mistake, how my future was doomed, as well as my present.

But at that moment, there was sentry at the doorway of my mind, watching carefully—and I did not let those harmful hurtful thoughts in the door where they could take over and destroy my serenity.

In the end, I called back this same woman with the information I had and she confirmed that she had given me wrong information. Now, that was a relief at the financial level, since it will make life easier for me—but I felt no high, no elation—because I had experienced no low, no depression. Shock, yes, but that was an immediate reaction. What’s important,is that I did not let it devolve into a low, into depression or anxiety.

I know myself well enough to know that my “normal" reaction would have been terrible anxiety—because I would have let anxious thoughts take over. But this time…it was different. And I can attribute that to  the spiritual work I do constantly on myself. I consciously work on myself everyday. I write everyday. I hang out with angelic energy. I read other spiritual books. I read and work with the lessons.

I say this not to say how dedicated I am — but to emphasize what can happen when we are devoted to our spiritual life. I an SO grateful for the angels in my life, for all my spiritual teachers, the ancient seers who left behind great books and scriptures — that have helped release me from being “me.”

And I continue to work on myself, to read and write the lessons, to practice what I write. This is the only way I know for deep inner transformation to happen — we must put into practice what we learn, in order to let the learning deepen into the heart. I am just grateful that at least for that moment I was spared the suffering my own thoughts could have led me to. And that I was given the energy to find out for myself that what she had said was wrong, so that I could fix the problem. It is certainly a relief at a financial level, but even more so—a victory of light over darkness, which is what matters most.

More reasons to meditate

  • Neuroscientist Sara Lazar found that people who practiced meditation had more gray matter in the part of the brain linked to decision-making and working memory: the frontal cortex.
  •
  • While most people see their cortexes shrink as they age, 50-year-old meditators in the study had the same amount of gray matter as those half their age.
  •
  • Participants in the study averaged about 27 minutes of the habit a day, but other studies suggest that you can see significant positive changes in just 15 minutes a day.

You might want to have the physical brain of a 25 year old, but not the thinking. When you continue to do your spiritual work, you can have not only a physically young brain, but the wisdom and enlightenment that comes from putting Truth first. So consider adding meditation to your daily routine. Meditation is nothing elaborate. Just sit and see what happens. Nothing to do, just be.
