There
is practical thought, which is necessary to live in this world. But we
can't think our way to God. God is beyond all thought. Thought can't
take us any higher than itself. Thought is horizontal in nature.
What we do have, as human beings, is the power to SEE. We can use thought to make an airline reservation — and fly from here to there — but thought can't take us to God.
When we continually consult our own thinking as the way out (of suffering, lack, loss, fear, and limitation) — we can't go any higher than that thinking, which is the problem in the first place.
SEEING this — really SEEING — is the breakthrough that propels us to a new level — a higher level of Being.
We use thought in the way we might use a thorn to get another thorn out of our foot. Once the thorn is out, we throw them both away. xoxo
