Happy Easter
°☆ ★ ° ★ ● *
This Easter I am remembering my favorite childhood book about Easter. It was called, "The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes." If you haven't read it, or know a child who hasn't, you might like to. It is a very simple book with lovely illustrations that haven't been altered to be more "modern" (Winnie the Pooh was. In fact, I once gave a reading to a young German man who told me he was hired by Disney to recreate the drawings).
I was enthralled by 'The Country Bunny' when I was a small child. It touched me deeply and left me filled with the wonder and awe of what can happen when our heart is in the right place and we live in the present moment, without despairing over what we do not have. It is magical and spiritual. The Country Bunny lives a clear and simple life and still one day gets to wear the golden shoes she has always been seeking!

Happy April 1 Everyone!!
Hmm--maybe I should change our Classroom decor from clouds to flowers. We have a saying here, March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. That was not true in New York State, my home state, where they just got another snowstorm and 3 inches of snow. That's spring in NYS! As for Los Angeles, sigh, not much change in the weather since I returned here in early March, but I hear there was no real winter here this year--just hot, like summer.
Another saying is April showers bring May flowers. Alas, I shan't experience much rain here in So. Cal. That's short for Southern California. There's still a drought here. I will be traveling August-October, so will experience different sorts of weather.
The newsletter will go out soon, as well as your lessons. Here's a heads-up--The Altadena Summer Solstice Retreat will be on June 20, the longest day of the year from 10 am to 6 pm. It's called the Summer Solstice Cleanse. We will have foods and juices designed to heal and rejuvenate...and the teachings of the angels that always heal, cleanse, and rejuvenate our spirit.
(Oh-and I changed the background to lemons. I took this picture in the backyard in Altadena where the June 20 retreat will be. See you there! By the way, there is a special rate for Students of the School when you register early.
Speaking of healing, if you like avocado, here is good news about this green fruit that grows abundantly where I live, and where I once lived, on Hawaii. Continued on next page...

MAY THE LIGHT ARISE AND AWAKEN WITHIN YOU!
Wishing you all a happy Easter in your heart and soul. We happen to have people of various religions and cultures and no religionhere in our school. Personally, I take whatever chance I can to celebrate life, to honor all the great teachers and saints of all paths.
Happy Spring!
Happy Easter everyone! Or happy bunny day. Or happy springtime. Happy Passover! Happy Everything!
I hope your world is turning green and warm and making you glad!

Happy Easter, Happy Passover & much more
Our school is a school where all faiths may come together in One Faith. There are many paths and only One destination. Recently I received one of those emails from a Christian friend that is essentially a hate email....although people like that really have no idea they are sending hate emails. It was about how there are too many mosques in Europe and the Muslims will take over the world. I really didn't read it. There is never any need to fill our minds up with other people's dramas and negativities. Our only goal is to stay focused on Truth, to walk our own path with integrity. And so today, whoever you are, whatever your religion, I honor your way. I honor the way of Truth.

from Monika
Dear classmates, I am leaving for some days. So I am sending now Easter greetings to all of you. Easter time is a time of extreme changes. Life, death, and life again, letting go of old things, habits......I wish all of us a smooth time of renewing. Love Monika
