Serving God

Dearest, By now it should be apparent to you that you do your spiritual work for your own enlightenment. When you work for your spiritual enlightenment, you work for the enlightenment of all beings. You serve earth herself. You serve God whom angels love and serve.

Question & Answer

I received this question from a (very dedicated) student today, which actually contains its own answer. Your lesson QUESTIONS addresses the importance of asking questions from deep within and waiting for answers that come, not from the mind, but from the heart. She is presently reading the lesson TOGETHER AS ONE, and says,

"Somewhere in the lesson, it states that we should show up for ourselves so that we can heal... I forget the exact wording. Anyway, is it possible that these lessons have the power of healing?

I have just made this experience of becoming aware of a trauma which happened prenatal which was very painful and while still unconscious of it made me hurt other people. Might the lesson be guiding me on my path of healing?"

Yes, just showing up and reading your lessons brings you close to Truth, and Truth is always healing. The energy of the Angels is contained within each lesson, in the space between the words.

By keeping company with your lessons, you are keeping company with the exquisite energy of the Angels.

Whomever, whatever, you keep company with on a regular basis affects you, changes you—for better or worse. Energy is real and energy is shared. So spend as much time as you can with your lessons, higher energies, nature, and whatever supports your highest learning and evolving.

She also wrote this message of Gratitude for her lesson, for which I am grateful:

Thank you for this beautiful carefully crafted thoughtfully rich lesson. There is so much wisdom in it that I am soaking it up like a sponge. I have even attempted to write in my diary.  Thank you for putting so much time, effort, diligence and love into these lessons.

Butterfly

“Death is simply a shedding of the physical body like the butterfly shedding its cocoon. It is no different from taking off a suit of clothes one no longer needs. It is a transition to a higher state of consciousness where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, and to be able to grow.” —Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross --Life Lessons, 2000

Complain = Pain

Scientists say: “Neurons that fire together, wire together.”
Some of you have read lessons, or messages, where I talk about the negative aspects of complaining. Here is an article which goes into it in depth, gives some practical solutions -- and supports what the angels already know! The angels always say that Complain minus the letter L = pain. L stands for Love. When LOVE is lacking, so are we. Lack of love in our lives, in our actions, always leads to pain. I reprinted the whole article here for you, and here is the link, if you want to visit the page yourself: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/

How complaining rewires your brain for negativity

PRECIOUS BEING

Why not think of yourself as precious today? Now. Why not think that you are of great value. That your life is not to be wasted or treated carelessly. That you are greatly loved, even treasured. By the angels. By God. Yes. The Great Universal Energy that created you loves and treasures you. You are the treasure of God. You are precious in God’s perfect vision. You are love and you are loved beyond all measure. Now. As you are.

Hazrat Inayat Khan

When the soul is awakened, it is as if that person were to wake up in the middle of the night among hundreds and thousands of people who were fast asleep. He is sitting or standing among them, hearing about their sorrows and miseries and their conditions, hundreds of them moving about in their sleep, in their dreams, not awakened to his condition although he is near them. They know little about him, as each one is absorbed in his own trouble. This awakened soul, standing among them all, will listen to everyone, will recognize all that they think and feel; but his language no one understands; his thoughts he cannot explain to anyone; his feelings he cannot expect anyone to feel. He feels lonely, but no doubt in this loneliness there is also the sense of perfection, for perfection is always lonely. Imagine living in a world where nobody speaks our language. Yet he knows the world’s language. The experience of the matured soul is like the experience of the man who watched a play performed on the stage at night, and in the morning he saw the same stage again in the sun and saw that all the palaces and gardens and the actors’ costumes were unreal. Daily Meditation of January 9, by Hazrat Inayat Khan

Happiness

“If you have given up hope of ever being happy, cheer up. Never lose hope. Your soul, being a reflection of the ever joyous Spirit, is, in essence, happiness itself.” -Paramhansa Yogananda

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, I AM THAT

Q: However deeply I look, I find only the mind. Your words 'beyond the mind' give me no clue.
M: While looking with the mind, you cannot go beyond it. To go beyond, you must look away from the mind and its contents.
Q: In what direction am I to look?
M: All directions are within the mind! I am not asking you to look in any particular direction. Just look away from all that happens in your mind and bring it to the feeling 'I am'. The 'I am' is not a direction. It is the negation of all direction. Ultimately even the 'I am' will have to go, for you need not keep on asserting what is obvious. Bringing the mind to the feeling 'I am' merely helps in turning the mind away from everything else.

Believing

"One can't believe impossible things," said Alice. "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." (Through The Looking Glass, Lewis Carroll)

Saying hello

I just wanted to stop by and write a few words, though I haven't much to say. Mostly I am doing a great deal of self-observation. I see myself and others in new ways. I can feel something happening deep inside me, that I haven't even got words for. I have for some time felt quiet and introspective, so I haven't even been writing here lately, though I am always stopping by to read and inhale all the great energy I feel here. The lessons are great. They touch me deep inside and actually are effective. Thank you once again.

Melt the hardness of the mind

Welcome to Your Open Classroom. This is where you can benefit both yourself and serve others by making the effort to come out of your closet and write something. Yes, it takes time, and writing is a valuable exercise, especially when you share it with others. Going against what the mind tells you is a way to come into the softness of your heart, and melt the hardness of the mind. The more you show up for Truth, the more Truth shows up for you. This is universal law.

This is a picture of me and my cousin, Darlene, who is also one of your classmates. This was taken at the East Coast Retreat a couple of years ago. Look how beautiful it is outside the window, the green trees and the sun shining through. All of us were at the retreat melting the hardness of the mind and coming into the softness of the heart.

Madeleine L'engle

Here is my friend, Madeliene L'engle, the author -- no longer living -- well, she wasn't my friend in the sense that we ever met, though I saw her speak once upon a time, but certainly a friend of my soul. I would say it isn't maybe -- but definitely -- we must walk through the dark forest of ego to reach the Light of Understanding. So, keep walking, friends of my soul . . .

Nuclear Power -- Unclear Power

Hello Everyone,
Have you ever read any of the monthly messages on my website? Actually, I pretty much stopped writing them awhile back, but am updating them when I have a moment, since I like everything I write from the past to be fully polished in the present and I've recently updated my website. Have you seen the update? Hop on over when you get a chance, and let me know how you like it. Of course, I could always change it again...anyway, here is the message from April 2011:

What can we learn from the cataclysmic events, both natural and man-made,that have shocked & rocked the world in recent years?
