Sweeping

The moonlight of clear mind
swallows the whole world.
When mind and light both go out---
what is this?

  1. How nice to visit the Open Classroom tonight and find a post by someone who isn't me, and a nice picture and zen saying from Korean Kyong Ho. Zen has always been a bit beyond me, though I know you are drawn to it, Dick. Still, I always like to read Zen sayings.

  2. Clearly and simply, what is there beyond you?
    Light within and light without?
    I wonder:
    in order to be light
    must one submit
    to burning?

    Ah, beyond it all
it is best to read them
    still.

  4. Hi Jazzolog,
I love poetry too. Poetry is BEAUTY.

Even tho a lot of poetry is beyond me, I do love the beauty and truth I do fine in the lines I understand.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  5. Thank you for the meaningful poetry, Dick. You are a Zen artist yourself. Reminds me of Haiku, so much said in so few simple lines, still and to the point.
