Angel Writing

As you know, my connection with the angels began during a near-death experience. Soon after this incident, I sat down at my typewriter to do some writing. I didn't own a computer in those days. I have always written: poems, stories, letters, and some journaling, but I was shocked to find myself writing messages from angels! It wasn't my intention to connect with the angels through writing; it just happened.

That was in 1981. Since that time, I have written hundreds of pages of angel writing, in addition to poetry, stories, and even a murder mystery! You never do know what might happen if you show up and make yourself available to write. So give it a try! Give it lots of tries! One reason Your Open Classroom exists is to give you a place to show up and express yourself. I happen to love writing here--each time I show up here and write, I learn and grow in new ways. I feel connected to each of you. I feel connected to the angels. I feel uplifted and expanded. I know that many of you are silent observers here, and that's fine. This your classroom, to do what you will. I assure you that the more effort you out into your school, the more benefits you will reap.

  2. I would like to see your angel drawings one day, perhaps. And I agree - we never know what will come through us when we make the effort to show up.

By the way, all this writing about writing has inspired me. The murder mystery I wrote more than 12 years ago. Well, I was inspired to re-read it, after all these years. And now I am re-writing it! It is such fun to add depth to it and the characters. And I see how much I have learned about writing since then, just by writing and writing!

Interestingly, although I didn't quite realize it at the time...writing that book was the way I ultimately dealt with the death of my younger sister, because I was writing about a serial killer, and cancer, which my sister died from, felt like a serial killer to me, since it took the life of my sister, as well as others dear to me.

Now, re-writing it, it is just a form of art, creating characters and adding dimension. And I do not think writing has to be "spiritual" to be spiritual. Well, besides mysteries can be a lot of fun. I am right now reading an English mystery by one of my favorite authors, Martha Grimes.

Thanks for sharing, Ursula. I always love reading what you have to say and your energy always comes through. And have a wonderful time on your vacation. Maybe you will have a chance to share some of it here in Your Open Classroom.

  3. Thank you for this reminder dear Indira that we can all benefit from writing. I have been inspired as of late to take my notebook with me when I walk. I walk a lot in nature and then sit and just write, as we have been encouraged to do in our lessons. It is a deep and insightful process that is helping me a great deal. I encourage other students to write also. Walking and writing, I agree, our 2 of our best medicines.
