LESSON 38 LIFE JUST IS LET IT BE

What purpose does anger serve?

Anger has only one purpose—to protect the false self. Anger is a cover-up for fear. Beneath anger is fear. Most people would rather feel angry than afraid. Fear feels powerless and anger feels powerful.

Anger has no power, except to defend and build-up the false self. Anger is darkness, and all darkness keeps us from making contact with God. Anger is just another false image we worship in place of God. Isn't this sad when you really think about it? Isn't it sad to be worshiping the darkness of anger rather than the light of God?

A PURE BRIGHT CRYSTAL

In your heart is a pure bright crystal. The heart is surrounded by the ruins of your false thinking. You have forgotten your true nature. You have forgotten the pure bright crystal of your shining heart. You are here to remember. Now. In this lifetime. Not in some other. You are here to wake up. This is your divine destiny. This is the reason you incarnated on earth. Now! To wake up now.

Madeleine L'engle

Here is my friend, Madeliene L'engle, the author -- no longer living -- well, she wasn't my friend in the sense that we ever met, though I saw her speak once upon a time, but certainly a friend of my soul. I would say it isn't maybe -- but definitely -- we must walk through the dark forest of ego to reach the Light of Understanding. So, keep walking, friends of my soul . . .

Happy Vernal Equinox

Happy Springtime Everyone!
A new birth is yours when you continue
to apply yourself to all the lessons
of your life so that you are born
into the present moment.

Chocolate Chia Pudding

Chia Chocolate Pudding - serves 4
Chia seeds are good for us, high in antioxidants. Chia pudding sells for a lot of money, but you can make your own for much less. Enjoy!
Ingredients
* ½ cups water
*¼ cup chia seeds
*2 tablespoon cacao powder cacao powder
*⅛ teaspoon stevia, (or maple syrup, or honey to taste).
*⅛ teaspoon sea salt--I prefer himalayan salt.
Directions:
1. Combine blended coconut milk, water, and chia seeds in a quart mason jar and shake well
2. Add cacao powder, sweetner, and salt and shake well
3. Refrigerate overnight to let chia seeds soften and absorb liquid.

LIVING FROM A THOUGHT SELF

Human beings live from a thought self and call it real. Sigh.

Thought = Feeling = Action = Your Experience of Life.

Watch yourself get worked up over something you are thinking about--something that creates negative feelings within you. When you notice that you are deeply, emotionally involved in negative thoughts, take a breath, step back from yourself, and ask:

Is this who I really am? Am I these thoughts I have been believing? Am I these emotions I have been feeling? Do I want to be this negative thought self?

Ask these questions anytime you find yourself getting caught up in a negative experience. If you believe you are a thought self, you will be compelled to act as if you are. For example, when you start thinking jealous thoughts, you soon feel very jealous. If you do not stop to question this, you soon believe you are this jealous person. Then you are compelled to act like a jealous person.

This is true for any negative thought self you create. If you think thoughts of anger, sadness, hostility, paranoia, and inferiority long and strong enough, soon you feel that way--and then you act that way.

Taking a moment to stop, step outside of your thought self, and ask intelligent questions about what you are thinking and feeling can give you perspective. You may realize that you are not a thought self unless you believe you are. You may become calmer. You may come into touch with who you really are.

You may begin to see that thoughts come and go and change all the time. You may begin to see you are not a thought, but the space between two thoughts.

Nuclear Power -- Unclear Power

Hello Everyone,
Have you ever read any of the monthly messages on my website? Actually, I pretty much stopped writing them awhile back, but am updating them when I have a moment, since I like everything I write from the past to be fully polished in the present and I've recently updated my website. Have you seen the update? Hop on over when you get a chance, and let me know how you like it. Of course, I could always change it again...anyway, here is the message from April 2011:

What can we learn from the cataclysmic events, both natural and man-made,that have shocked & rocked the world in recent years?

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!

I happen to be a bit of Irish. I am posting a day early, so we can celebrate the rest of the month. I hope everyone is getting as much out of their lessons as I am. I am being more self-observant--witnessing happens sometimes now of its own accord, which is amazing to me.  I wish all the snakes of negativity might be driven from you--and I know this can happen, with self-effort, self-observation, watching my reactions, and saying NO to the dark energy of negativity--NO--you are not welcome here.

Here are magical shamrocks to wish you all a bright
green spring healing heart uplifting St. Patrick's Day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

May you find the real gold at the end of the rainbow!

Top o' the day Leprechauns,
In honor of St. Patrick who it is said drove the snakes out of Ireland on the day of March 17, I've changed our classroom decor to shamrocks, and posted a Celtic Prayer, an angelic version, along with the mighty wish that all the snakes (negative thoughts and feelings) also be driven out of you. Just say NO! Say no in a very powerful way when darkness comes knocking on the door of you mind. Say NO! You may not enter here. You have no right here. You have no right at all.
Green is the color of the heart chakra, the color of spring, of healing energy, so may you experience it in full force within you, surrounding you with life-giving strength.

I Arise Today
I arise today
Through a mighty strength
I arise today
Through the strength of the love of God,

Seraphim and cherubim
In obedience of angels,
In the service of angels,
I arise today
Through the strength of Light:
Light of sun,
Radiance of moon,
Splendor of fire,
Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of wind,
Depth of sea,
Stability of earth,
Firmness of rock.

And here is our ever-friendly angel all in misty green today:

Your Lessons

I am in the process of re-editing all the lessons. I am replacing many of the photos and pictures because when I first created the lessons, I did not realize that I couldn't just use pictures I found on the internet. All the new pictures belong to me, created by me, taken by me or friends who consent to their use. Since each lesson is only for you, not to be shared, no one else should see them anyway, but just to be on the safe side, and because it is copyright law, I am making these changes. It is a lot of fun and I enjoy the creativity.

I am also making other changes in the lessons, as I hear and translate more clearly the words of the angels. This means I am reading over every single lesson. I am nearly finished with this process. It is great to read all the lessons again. And again.

Here is from Lesson 49, Lessons from Nature and Nature Spirits,

People who truly love and are open to the world of nature may develop working relationships with nature spirits. Nature spirits respond to feelings of love and concern and may thus be empowered to communicate with certain individuals. This communication may come in the form of intuition or as an actual manifestation of the fairy spirit.

For my German-speaking friends and students...

-translated by Annegret Baumhardt ©2015

Egos live in time and since time is not real,
egos live in that which is not real, which
means egos are also not real. Time is
relevant to life on earth and not at all
relevant to eternity. Eternity is where
angels live. It is where your true self lives,
too, in the eternal now.

...and here are some of your classmates: Monika F. who of course hosts the angel work in Mainz, Germany, Jutta and her sister Christel, who host the angel work in Maulburg, Germany. We are smiling after eating sweet things on a little outing together.

CATCH THE WIND

This morning somehow I am reminded of the song by Donovan. Who knows what he meant when he wrote it, since writers everywhere who let go of their minds are inspired by something higher. Perhaps it was a love song. Maybe a love song to God. Yes, we may as well try to catch the wind.

I like to think if it as a love song to Truth or God. The human spirit first recognizing something greater exists, and that it is unable to capture what it longs for. The spirit can eventually evolve to realize that what it cannot do, something Higher can do. Angels can do for us what we cannot, for example, but only when we let go of control--which is the hardest thing for the human ego to do. We must give up the struggle to control this world. This is a golden key. We must sacrifice who we think we are to become who we are.

And here are the lovely lyrics by Donovan. I can't publish his haunting melody here, but you can listen somewhere.

"Catch The Wind"

In the chilly hours and minutes
Of uncertainty, I want to be
In the warm hold of your loving mind

To feel you all around me
And to take your hand along the sand
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind

When sundown pales the sky
I want to hide a while behind your smile
And everywhere I'd look your eyes I'd find

For me to love you now
Would be the sweetest thing 'twould make me sing
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind

Back in Los Angeles

Hello Dear Students, I am back in California, with reliable internet service once again. So you shall be seeing more of me here perhaps. The sky was dark and cloudy this evening but only a few raindrops have fallen so far. I even cancelled my walk because the sky looked like thunderstorms! I for one am happy to be back in Your Open Classroom, to feel connected again to each of you in this very special way.

As you all know, my little dog, Penny, disappeared. I can only assume she has passed on, since I don't think she could survive without me--she needed very specialized care that only I knew how to give her, and she would not have survived this last year, had I not been taking  special care of her. I miss her greatly and keep forgetting that she is not here, in CA, where she grew up with me, grew old. I have loved and love her so deeply and always will. She was a great Teacher, a great Friend, a great Companion on the Way. She is still with me in my heart and always will be. Life is very different without my sweet Penny.

Keep in mind there will be an angel seminar here in Altadena, CA in June. There will be a reduced fee for students of the school. Thank each of you who offered special prayers for Penny, for your cards, and kindness.

Snow in Amish Country

Right now I am out in the country -- Amish country. The Amish here are  very conservative -- old order Amish-- a sect of Amish that adhere very strictly to their religious beliefs and avoid modernization for the most part.. They wear only black and very dark blue. The women wear full bonnets and long skirts and white aprons. The men have beards but no mustaches and always wear hats. They drive horse and buggies everywhere. No electricity. Most of them have many children. The children only go to 8th grade. They marry young, usually. It is another sort of world. The Amish here speak a Swiss dialect of German, though they also learn English. There is so much snow here. The hills and fields are white and flowing with snow. So beautiful. So cold.
