Hi Everyone

I just took the opportunity to share something from my current lesson, 'The Incredible Lightness of Earth" in the comment section of Indira's post below. It was a good experience for me, and I found myself excited about sharing with my classmates. Speaking of "incredible" - that's what every lesson is for me, and my experience of being a longtime student in the school. So just want to say thank you from my soul to your soul for sharing the incredible lightness of earth with me. I know from this lesson that we are all souls who come to earth together for a reason. Even when we do not see each other or know each other, our souls are connected through this school. We are on the spiritual way together. Love, Kevin

  1. Thank you, Kevin...from my soul to your soul. When we are connected soul to soul, we are connected with our true purpose for being here, since all souls come to earth with the memory of their divine purpose. Our connections with other people can either hurt or help us in this.

Our true purpose is service -- to God, of course. When we serve the highest in someone else, we serve God. This is what angels know. Angels know the love and beauty of serving others, that it keeps love and compassion awakened in their own hearts. An angel serves and serves, with no desire to get anything in return. In this way, angels enjoy and experience love and compassion in every moment.

Human beings normally serve ego. This is the same as serving darkness. This is what most human beings do not understand. When we are self-serving (ego-serving) then it doesn't matter what we do -- we are building up the ego.

Say that a politician takes time out to serve soup to the 'homeless' -- this could benefit others, because people might get the idea that selfless service is a good thing -- and it is -- but if that politician is doing it just to get votes and the whole time is thinking something like, "These stupid homeless people, why don't they get a job. They stink. Who could eat this slop?" and then goes home feeling proud and superior that he has 'helped' someone," then what has he built up? Wouldn't you say it is his ego.

And so it is not so much what we do, but the attitude with which we do it. This may be why the great Teacher, Jesus, taught that when you 'pray' go into your closet. (Matthew 6:5-13)

Hmm -- this is about to become another whole lesson, which I think I shall write, maybe next. Those of you who began the lessons first, like you, Kevin, will soon be on Lesson 89. But now I must stop because it is another day and there is much to accomplish.

Thank you so much for sharing Kevin. You see -- your sharing your soul -- has helped me. It has shown me the way to a new lesson. It has helped me as your classmate and as your teacher. This is what happens when we take a moment to reach out to others.

Every morning I take time for inner contemplation. I need this. Because the "person" named "me" that I carry around everyday is not a suit of shiny new clothing -- no way! The "me" I carry around is the "me" everyone carries around. Many spiritual teachers cannot admit this. This is the problem with spiritual teachers. But this is all for another time. As I said, there are things I must "do" now, since the fairies will not do it for me.

Much love and again, thank you, Kevin.
