Hello beautiful Goddesses...and beautiful Men! Focusing on this aspect of the Goddess is meant to give extreme peace and ultimate good. She wears a half moon (chandra) and her voice is like that of a bell (ghanta); so her name is Chandraghanta. It is said that her roaring voice, a tumultuous sound like a bell, causes the enemies of Dharma to tremble! (We talk about Dharma in Lesson 29 "Relationships." In that lesson the angels remind us to row our own boat, not someone elses.
The Sanskrit word dharma beautifully describes the concept of rowing
one’s own boat -- one’s duty; the
underlying natural order of things; that which upholds). ((Had to remove the Goddess image because it was making the blog not work!)
How can you apply this teaching to your life? By understanding that
when you turn your attention to your boat—your dharma—your life becomes more peaceful, even during the rough and tumultuous times. As it relates to this Goddess -- as soon as the worshipper calls upon the Goddess Chandraghanta,
Her bell immediately becomes active and starts ringing to protect the
devotee under Her shelter. Or, as soon as we sincerely call upon Truth,
Truth answers in the form of Grace.
In
the Durga worship of Navaratri the third day is of great importance. At
this stage of development the mind of the seeker enters the Manipura (3rd) Chakra, and by the grace of mother Chandraghanta
becomes capable of seeing unearthly and divine things. One smells the
divine fragrance and many divine sounds become audible.
So
be diligent in your spiritual work, dearest student. When you are, you
will find that spiritual work is true worship. You will find that
spiritual work is actually fun. Why? Because there is nothing more fun
than using all your senses to discover your true nature. Living any
other way is boring and defeated. It is mechanical. So be inspired by
the 3rd day of the Goddess. When the 3rd Chakra opens divine fragrances
and sounds are released! What this actually tells us is that our senses
are capable of so much more than we realize. So stay on your path. Never give up. Never ever. Be inspired by the 9 days of the Goddess. You are here to wake up!
I love this reminder: "Stay on your path. Never give up. Never ever. Be inspired by the 9 days of the Goddess. You are here to wake up!" Sometimes the path does feel like the razor's edge.
ReplyDeleteWe must never ever give up. Giving up belongs to the ego...and what the ego really wants is for us to give up so we will stay as we are and the ego can stay as it is.
ReplyDeleteHere in your school you learn you are living in a castle of Light.
