YOU ARE NOT THE PERSON YOU TAKE YOURSELF TO BE

Good morning Dear Students.

As the sun rises in California I will respond to an email from a student in response to the angel message I posted the other day. I haven't included her name, just her words, below.

For me it's a very hard exercise to think in the way you suggested, "You are not the person you take yourself to be." What remains? What is real? What can I trust? A lot of questions and still some more not so easy to put in words. I don't really expect an answer from you, but it's something I would have told you. (It's not easy to tell such things in my own language, and it's very hard to do it in English).

You did a great job expressing yourself in English! Thank you for your honesty, and for taking the time to write. The more you show up for truth, the more truth shows up for you. I will post my full message here and then add my response:

Daily Message: Nov. 26, 2011: Please contemplate this wisdom, even if you have heard it before, in another way, or from another source:  "You are not the person you take yourself to be." Really contemplate this. Maybe write about it. Ask yourself what this means for you, for your life, not in just an esoteric sense, though that too, but for your actual life, for your happiness, for your spiritual path, for the person you think you are.

I suggested that you do some spontaneous writing to find your own answers. In spontaneous writing we become our own teacher and student. The point of these lessons is to become your own teacher. You begin to realize that you are always in a classroom. You become a constant student; able and willing to receive the messages of Truth that are always coming to you. Always.

Your questions are excellent questions. Our beginning lessons speak to us about asking the right questions and listening to something higher than our mind for the answers. Only when we ask the right questions can we hope for the right answers. So keep asking. And keep listening to something higher than your ordinary ego mind.

I will never ask you to do what I am not willing to do myself. I am doing spontaneous writing right now. I woke up an hour ago and now it is 5:00 in the morning. A perfect time to spend with contemplative writing. A perfect time to enter our Open Classroom where Truth is always spoken, where we can commune with our higher self, God and angels, where we can learn to listen to something higher than the ego mind.

"You are not the person you take yourself to be." Who do you take yourself to be? Who do you think you are? Today's message asked you to make a spontaneous list, listing everything you think you are and contemplate that list. It said, "Wouldn't it be a relief not to be the person you think you are? Isn't it exhausting trying to be that person?"

Think about this for yourself. Normally, we believe we are the person we think we are. This means we do not think for ourself. Who is the person we think we are? Is that person real? Where did that person come from?
A tiny baby enters the world and takes its first breath. The baby is soft, vulnerable, open, formless. Immediately the humans around it begin to form and mold it. They give it their own nature: their thoughts, feelings, and ideas. They give it their language and beliefs. They can share with the baby only what they are--they can offer it only their own nature.
The angels offer you a higher nature, beyond the limited nature imposed upon you by other human beings who could only share with you their limited, painful nature. The angels offer you a way out of the pain of human nature. This means learning to think for yourself. The way out of human suffering is offered to many, but few will choose it.

I will be posting more daily messages about not being the person you think you are. You are all always welcome to post your questions and spontaneous writing here. Do not be afraid. Or at least go against the fear, against the resistance, and show up here, in Your Open Classroom. Fear and resistance belong to the ego nature, the false nature, the ego that masquerades as you.

We wear the masks of ego for so long, that we forget who we really are. We begin to believe we are the masks. Here in our school, we learn to take off the masks. Like peeling an onion. Underneath the mask is another and another. It takes discipline and dedication to remove all the masks. And it is worth it. It is worth it to no longer live from your false self, but from divine light, which is your true nature.

So keep showing up. Read your lessons. Practice your homework. Enter Your Open Classroom. In this way, the light begins to penetrate the layers of conditioning that you have received from a false world, a world of maya, a world that could give you only its false nature, a world that wants to keep you living in the darkness of limited thinking. Come out of the darkness! Find out who you really are. Learn to think for yourself. Stop letting dark thoughts convince you that you are someone else, someone false. Be willing to let go of every concept, every belief, every thought about who you are. When all that you are not is dissolved, what remains is what you are

If you are a beginning student, be patient. More is revealed as you continue in your lessons.

With greatest respect, your teacher

  2. You express yourself very well in your writing, Eva. I like what you say, "when I write, the outside becomes smaller and smaller, and the inner voice becomes clearer." This is one reason the angels encourage us to do spontaneous writing.

Writing here in Your Open Classroom is especially healing. It helps not only you, but other students who read what is written here. We can see that we are all on the same path, that we have similar thoughts and feelings.

Human beings are not meant to live in caves, to do their spiritual work alone. Human beings are social beings. Sharing your spiritual journey here in your school with like-minded people is wonderful for the soul.

The school is a safe place. You are protected here. The angels have created everything about the school to work together in a harmonious way that best serves your spiritual evolution.

The angels have created the school, but it is up to you to come to school where you can learn, grow, and evolve.

  4. The angels understand the loneliness of human beings who live separate from God, from their own self, even from each other. And so angels remind us that there is a way out of the loneliness of human existence. The angels sing to us, "Remember! Remember your divine nature and return, return to God, return home."

  5. Thank you Judy,Thats the thruth.I meditate about the words,we speak and what happens with me and other persons. When I read, what you say aboud the negative words and the vibration-in the same moment I understand.I feel it very strong in me body ,in my heart,if people use negative words. And also the vibration of the words put me often down. The first ,what I do now,is, to go away and to accept, that it is the truth and I am not crazy.

  7. I appreciate being able to read the thoughts and feelings of other students, because it helps me to understand other perspectives. Each time I take the time to write here, I feel as though I have let go of something that limits me and opened to receive higher truth.

I welcome you here, Eva, and hope to hear more of your inner journey.

I have come to see things that I as yet have no words for.
