Poem

Dear Class
My Name is Ruth. This is the first time in my life that I post something. Judy asked me to post a poem from me. Because I am Swiss, I am afraid, my english sound and look also swiss. I am sorry : )

At first I send you a German poem. I am afraid, if I translate it, it loose. I hope I get an English later. My poem tells about a miracle. It says:

A miracle is like a candlelight,
it touches me in my darkest night.
If it happens I can't believe it.
With my intellect I try to steal the magic from it.
I can't explain nor confirm a miracle.
Suddenly it appears.
Often when I'm near despair.
Like the sun breaking through the clouds
a miracle brings light in my life.
Angel of miracle, let me see also the small miracles
now going through the life without attention.
So my life will become brighter.
The darkness will go away faster.
Angel of the miracle I thank you
you appeared in my darkest moment.

I think in German it sounds much better

Wunder

Lovely greatings

Ruth

  2. Dear Ruth, Thank you for posting your poem. For those who do not know German, a Wonder is more like a Miracle in English. I am glad that Ruth had the courage to publish her poem. I hope the Open Classroom continues to encourage (in Courage) everyone to speak their own heart and soul here in perfect freedom. As you become more OPEN here, you can become more open in other areas of your life. This is, after all, the OPEN Classroom!

  3. Ruth, your poem holds so much truth that it doesn't matter if your English is imperfect.

Yes I also experienced miracles in my life.

Thank you for these good feedbacks.
Because Miracle is the more suitable word for my poem, I exchanged the words.
