The Golden Rule
Find your true self. Be that self. Don't be afraid to be who you are. Don't be afraid to express your true nature in all its glory. Don't be afraid. Stop being afraid to be who you are. Stop being afraid of other people. Within you is an innate kindness that always knows what to do. You can be yourself without being unkind to anyone ever.
The trick is to know when you are being tricked by ego. Ego masquerades as your divine nature. When you harm others, you harm yourself.
Ask yourself: Am I being kind? Am I doing unto others as I would have them do unto me? Am I causing harm? Am I following the fear in my mind or the love in my heart? Am I acting from separation or inclusion? Is my action necessary? Is it kind? Is it true?
The golden rule is a wonderful and truthful Guide: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Kalida
Cleaning The Mind
When soot blackens
the chimney of a lamp,
who would waste time yelling
at the flame for not shining
brightly enough?
Patiently clean the impurities
from the glass of your mind,
the brilliance and beauty of
your true Self
will illumine all around you
with the light of Love.
-Kalidas
-One of the greatest poets and dramatists in Sanskrit. His chronicle of the kings of the Raghu clan - Raghuvamsha - the great play Shakuntala and other works depict through many characters the highest ideals of life as seen by the ancient people of Bharat.

An Angel Story
Today I was reminded of a sweet story. Where I used to live in California, not so long ago, I had a mobile of small angel wings hanging from the ceiling. Hirth's little granddaughter was visiting one day and she asked me what they were. I told her, "Angel wings," and she said, "How did they get them off?"
That should bring a sweet smile to your day.
That should bring a sweet smile to your day.

Angel Message
![]() |
| This is in Jamestown, along the river, where I am now. |
We see what you need in the moment you need it and do our best to fulfill those needs according to the will of God. Many believe that angels exist to fulfill human wants and desires. This belief is for small minds, limited minds, minds content to dwell within the illusion, those who cannot begin to imagine what God is.
You also cannot imagine what God is, but at least you have an idea, a glimmering, a wish for your imagination to grow and expand into the greatest light. This is a beginning. Start where you are. Start at the start. If you must start a thousand times a day, start a thousand times a day.
Just as it takes millions of stars to fill a darkened night to cast light, so are many starts needed to fill you, take you, reveal to you the great Light that IS.
Love as always, your own dear Guardian angel loving you beyond your wildest imagination.

Sometimes
Sometimes this life seems so fragile . . . because it is
Sometimes we know this
Othertimes we forget
Angels never forget
and so angels constantly draw nigh unto you
in your darkness and in your light
Angels always know
How fragile the human heart is
How fragile human life is
How easily the things of this world
break
How easily tears of joy
turn to tears of pain
And so angels draw nigh
unto you
Angels remember
Angels remember your divine essence
and whisper it into your heart
until you are strong enough
and real enough
to remember it for yourself
Angels keep the light burning
until your eyes turn inward enough
to see it for yourself.

You yOu YoU YOU yoU YOu you

The Clear and Simple Way School Messages
The false you is the ego you, which is lack, loss, fear and limitation, which is unhappiness
The question is, is there a you to be happy? Who is this you? Who defines happiness for this you? Is it the false you that is composed of thoughts and beliefs you have received from other people who were also living from a false you? Do you really want to live by those definitions? And does it ever end? Do you ever reach lasting happiness, or do you need yet another desire fulfilled, another sensation?
What if you give up the idea that you are happy? Or even unhappy? Why not just see where you are? Where you really are. Right now. This moment. Why not see where your definitions of happiness are coming from?
Why not refuse to be defined at all? Why not find out what it is like to live freely, without limiting definitions? Why not find out who this ‘you’ that you call happy or unhappy really is? Perhaps there is a deeper you; a truer you, a you without you. No you. No definition. Infinite. Constantly creative. Limitless. Happy beyond all definition. Perhaps this is so—stay here—find out for yourself.

Happiness
The false you is the ego you, which is lack, loss, fear and limitation, which is unhappinessEveryone wants to be happy. If you are not happy, tell yourself the truth about this. Telling the truth is the only hope you have of being happy. Give up the idea that you are already happy. If you were honestly living in the happiness of your true nature, your seeking on earth would be over. Is it over? At least ask yourself some questions about your ideas of happiness. Ask yourself if you are happy because. If you are happy because of something, then you can also become unhappy because that thing changes or goes away. If you are happy because your children are doing well in school, you can become unhappy when they are not doing well in school.
It is fine to express happiness when your children do well in school, but no matter how well your children do, they are not here to build up your sense of self. You are not more or less, no matter what your children do. You are you. Complete, whole and perfect, independent of any cause. At least, the real you is. The false you is another story. The false you is a story. It is an unreal story, a fantasy, but not a happy fantasy.
p.s. this is my mom's cat, Baby, who left her body recently for her next journey. God Speed, Baby!

Food For Thought
Hi Dear Students & Classmates, I am posting this because I find it interesting and because it provides a new way of looking at forgiveness, one I had not considered. How about you? Have you had to forgive someone who wasn't sorry, even though you they hurt you? Have you had to accept an apology that wasn't offered? It does make sense, doesn't it -- to let go of anger and resentment and move on with your life. Then you are free because your happiness is not dependent upon another person. You can let other people be as they are. This does not mean you do not see what is. You see very clearly. You don't step in the same hole twice, so to speak. And you do not need to be strong. You need only ask for the strength of God to help you. This is good news. It means you can be weak, feel weak, be vulnerable and still forgive, accept, let go, and move on. All my love, Judy aka Indira

Writing and more...
Dearest Students, I like to think we are growing and evolving together, as one. One of the features of my work, as you know, is that so-called "enlightenment" is not a one-time static explosion that remains constant forever — meaning you never have to do anymore work on yourself. That has been the idea perpetuated by some new-age gurus, many of whom were eventually exposed to be living in ways that violated certain laws as well as moral ethics. That doesn't make everything such a spiritual teacher said necessarily invalid, but it does call into question the definition of enlightenment.

Flowers everywhere
Our classmate, Ursula K, sent me this link. I find it to be both
beautiful and inspiring. May we all create such worlds of beauty on the
inside that they are
reflected on the outside. And may we live in such worlds of inner beauty
that we see beauty everywhere. Or...as angels see...the face of God
everywhere.http://ompomhappy.com/2015/04/09/home-of-french-artist-claire-basler/?blogsub=confirming#subscribe-blog

Chinese New Year 2016
Living in a multicultural world, as we do, we get to celebrate New Year's again! Smile. So if you don't like how your last celebration went, you can celebrate Chinese style, and you have 15 days to do it in...until Feb. 15, although part of that time has gone by. This is the Chinese Year of the Monkey. An excellent healer and Tai Chi teacher I know here in Jamestown, NY, Red Sarber, says this is the year of Chaos, and it is important to play a lot! Which reminds me to remind you . . .
. . . forget about finding answers, at least for awhile. Forget about finding truth, at least for awhile. Be like a kitten who discovers a ball of yarn and unwinds it for sheer joy, for play. Not to reach some goal. Not as some serious endeavor. Not to figure out why things are as they are. Be like a kitten, at least some of the time. For the sake of love. For the sake of play. You will have much more energy!

love & wisdom
Love says, "I am everything".
Wisdom says, "I am nothing".
Between these two runs my life -Nisargadatta Maharaj
I had the good fortune to spend time with Nisargadatta on one of my sojourns to India. I have had his book since long ago, I Am That, though it wasn't actually written by him, but put together by one of his followers from talks he had given.
