Bon Voyage!
Stopping by to wish Indira & Penny a safe and peaceful voyage across the ocean. I am getting a lot out of my current lesson. And appreciating the angelic gems! Love, Kevin

Natascha wrote me that she found this link that works in Germany. Try it and let me know! It works for me. It really is uplifting and heart-touching. (I don't know what GEMA is, but thanks, also!)

I'LL THINK OF YOU
Johanna wrote that the video will not display in Germany. That is a
shame. Let's hope it changes. But for now, I can at least post the
lyrics, even without the uplifting sounds of these enthusiastic young
people singing and clapping.
"I'll Think Of You"
(with Kurt Schneider, Sam Tsui, Alex G & Alyson Stoner)
Sam Tsui Lyrics |
(with Kurt Schneider, Sam Tsui, Alex G & Alyson Stoner)
I'll think of you as I go
So when I leave, you're not alone
And no matter where we are, we will never be that far
'Cause I will think of you as I go
I'll think of you as I dream
So when it's dark, you'll be with me.
And no matter where we are, we can look up to the stars.
And I will think of you as I dream.
Oh, it's a long and winding road
But you don't have to walk alone.
'Cause no matter where we are, I will keep you in my heart
And I will think of you as I go.
I'll think of you when I'm down
When my heart is on the ground
And I will never lose my way even if the skies are grey
'Cause I will think of you when I'm down
Oh, it's a long and winding road
But you don't have to walk alone.
'Cause no matter where we are, I will keep you in my heart
And I will think of you as I go.
[Breakdown]

Using the Teachings
I've come to see how it doesn't matter how much I read, how much knowledge I have--the important question is--do I turn it into wisdom by making it my own? Do I find out for myself what is true, instead of mindlessly believing? This applies even to the magnificent angel lessons. Do I do practice the exercises? Do I put Truth first?
Each day I have many things I have to do, many things I want to do, and these all take up time. I make it a point to make time to sit with my school lessons each day, to do some quiet contemplations, some writing, some meditation. The other day some friends invited me to go out with them, and this time happened to be the time I had set aside for my spiritual practices--the only extra time I had that day. So the question for me was, do I use that time going out with friends or going in with my spiritual contemplation.
I was able to notice what was happening in my thinking. The very idea of going "out" was significant. My thinking was saying--I can't disappoint my friends, or they won't like me; I need go "out" and have fun. In the end, I decided to go against that thinking. I decided to stay in and go Inward.
I was glad I did. I felt a calm come over me. I saw how often I do something to please other people, but leave myself unpleased. I saw the ego trying to assert itself, trying to give me orders. I saw that often I do things to avoid facing my inner pain. I saw that I only have to, as I have read in the lessons, be pleasing onto God. That is all. I wound up doing just what I wanted to do all the time--stay home with myself and read my new lesson.

New Lesson--YES!
I found my new lesson waiting for me in my computer today. Thank you, Teacher! I see it was sent early--maybe because you will soon be traveling to Europe. Whatever the reason, I am glad to have it. Since I am in the very first class, I am now on the most recently written lesson, LESSON 71, THE EGO.
This is a perfect lesson for me. I always find that whatever monthly lesson I receive, it is just what I need to receive. Reading this lesson gives me a better understanding of the ego, as well as the world. Each sentence in the lesson gives me something. I especially resonated with these paragraphs:
The world is a manifestation of the collective unconscious of all the people who live here. We are responsible for creating the world. We can't just blame other people. We have to look inside and see the little wars we fight every day. We have to see how we create enemies to fight against. Often the enemies we create are the very people we profess to love the most. We get mad so easily. We get our feelings hurt so easily. We experience anger and hatred towards others instead of love and compassion.
Once you see this, if you are brave enough to see this, you are really on the spiritual path. You are telling the truth about yourself and all other people. You are on the path of understanding. You are understanding that it is not the outer wars that you must stop--it is the inner wars.
I find what I am learning and receiving hard to put into words. It is like wearing new glasses, and so the world looks different. I read the lessons, but more importantly, I do the homework. I put into practice what I read here, so it can become part of me. One thing I have gotten from the school is that blind belief is useless and harmful. My way of thinking is changing. I feel I am waking up in small ways, and sometimes even large ways. I am not much of a writer, but I wanted to write today to express my thankfulness for the way the school is helping me to grow spiritually and also in a practical way. I am feeling a greater contentment with life, more acceptance. This is due to the angels influence, to the lessons, to the words our dearest Indira writes. The school is the best thing that ever happened to me. Thanks to everyone for being my classmate!

The
truth is right here.
Open
up to the beautiful subtleties of
the moment
The living moment
The

Wherein the truth doth lie

Meet
the light one on one
And
when your true love comes
calling
Embrace.
Somewhere
Somewhere
in the music
Somewhere
in the song
lies
the key to life itself
so
far as I can know now
it
has to do with love.
Love

Love

Tonight
Tonight I was walking in Little Tokyo here in Los Angeles when who should I meet? Ursula! You have seen her lovely posts here. It was so wonderful to suddenly meet! We both opened our arms instantly like angel wings and embraced each other. Every element had to be in place for us to meet at that exact spot when we did, LA being so large. So we had a chance to wish each other a goodbye before I head to Germany on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Ursula will be traveling later, in October (the 26th, I think?)--to Switzerland and on to Vienna. You just never know what surprises the Universe has in store! Keep your heart open!
Oh--and how cool is it that Ursula just posted the picture of the hugging carrots, and then we should meet for a spontaneous hug!! The angels are always watching us. The more that you put into your lessons and Your Open Classroom, the more you will receive. I know many of you come here and never write a word, and that is fine; however I notice that those who do make the effort to show up here in a real way reap so many benefits--their spiritual evolution moves much more quickly. This is just how the spiritual path is. Take a step towards Truth, and Truth takes a step towards you.

Growing bolder, not older!
This video goes with your lesson, Rising Above Cliches -- which you may have read, or not, depending on where you are in your lessons. Anyway, keep rising above cliches! You are not a cliche, even if the ego is. When you live in the present moment, you cancel time. Time is an illusion, although we must deal with it here on the physical earth. Your true nature is timeless.

Seventeen Angels
Seventeen glorious angels
Came to visit me last night
Each wore a ribbon of light
And a crown of candles
Each one glimmered with gold
Their faces shone like alabaster
So bright, so beautiful, so barely there
All there was left to see was me
--In all my dark despair
--In all my heavenly light
And the seventeen angels sang to me,
"Darling one! What? Do you not know?
You are that which contains both light and dark.
THAT is the true light
A light your eyes are incapable of seeing
A light your mind is unable to fathom
It is the heart which knows and recognizes this Light.
This is the Light of Compassion, Wisdom, and the Only True Love
This Light holds her children, both light and dark,
in equal embrace."

More on the sunny side...
Me again to you again...
I realized i was changing the chorus in my head when it was singing itself to me...so I thought I would share with you my version . . . just a tad different from the original . . .
Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life,
It will help you see the way
It will brighten every day
When you keep on the sunny side of Life.

Keep on the Sunny Side of Life
Good Morning Apple Blossoms, These song lyrics have been running through my mind and this morning I got the message that I should post them here for you. It's mainly the chorus (in bold) that has been running through my mind. I will also include a link to a youtube if you want to hear the song also: Keep On The Sunny Side
There's a dark and a troubled side of life;
There's a bright and a sunny side, too;
Tho' we meet with the darkness and strife,
The sunny side we also may view.
[chorus]
Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life;
It will help us ev'ry day, it will brighten all the way,
If we keep on the sunny side of life.
Tho' the storm in its fury break today,
Crushing hopes that we cherished so dear,
Storm and cloud will in time pass away,
The sun again will shine bright and clear.
Let us greet with a song of hope each day,
Tho' the moments be cloudy or fair;
Let us trust in our Savior alway,
Who keepeth everyone in His care.[4
Keep On the Sunny Side is a popular American song originally written in 1899 by Ada Blenkhorn (1858–1927) with music by J. Howard Entwisle (1866–1903). The song was popularized in a 1928 recording by the Carter Family. A recording of the song with The Whites was featured in the 2000 movie 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'.

Being Receptive
Dearest Students,
On July 28 I posted this message: Hi Most Lovely Students, Here is a special gift offer that is open only until August 8. Please send me your Mailing Address and I will send you a special gift. But you can't receive one unless you email me your address by August 8. Love and Surprises from your friendly teacher...(only for currently registered students, of course).
I posted a reminder on July 29.
Then, when I sent out your last lessons, I offered a last opportunity for you to receive a special gift from your teacher.
Only some of you responded. And some of you sent me your email address, even though I specified your Mailing Address.
What does this tell you? How receptive are you? Why on earth would you be offered a gift from your teacher and not be open to receive it? Where else do you not say YES to the gifts the universe has to offer you? Where do you live in lack, loss, fear, and limitation? Where are you not aware of the gifts being offered you? Where are you not paying attention?
For those of you who did respond, you will be receiving a gift in the mail from your grateful teacher.
LOVE as always,
your gift giving teacher
