It's been a very "busy" time for me -- which just means, lots to do. I am preparing now for my flight to Europe. I am bringing my little dog Penny with me this year and that requires much preparation, since there are rules that must be followed when traveling with a pet internationally. Fortunately, it seems possible, once I make my way through all the red tape.
Come! Share the journey. You are not alone. The angels are here. Your classmates are here. Your teacher is here. You are here.

A Gentle Path
The
angels offer a gentle path. The angels simply suggest that you show up and read your lessons, or some part of them, on a
regular basis. This allows the energy to touch the truth that lives within you.
The energy of the angels scrapes away the heavy coating of unfriendly habits
and attitudes that clutter up your life. You are empowered to find your
own questions and the answers to those questions within your private communion
with God. Every answer is within you. Spiritual
teachings wake up the truth within you—they do not create that truth. The truth is not inherent in anything or
anyone outside you—it exists within you, or you could say, you exist
within truth.

A tiny big truth
I don’t want to be who am
and that’s suffering
⎯ the big sticky mess
Can you see that this is true for you? That it is true for everyone?

The hard way or the soft way
Just dropping in to say hello to everyone. I do stop by often, everyday when I can, to visit. I have been reading older posts and finding them rewarding and good reminders of the Truth within. I am so in gratitude to have this place, the open classroom, that is always here. When i am going through some difficulty, I especially like to stop by. I have been choosing a post at random from the archives, and I find it somehow answer whatever question I have and always gives me encouragement and increases understanding.
I have been experiencing for myself that I have to show up and do the work. Sometimes it is not easy for me to keep my eye on the inner work, but it is always rewarding when I do. There is so much in each lesson, I can hardly take it all in. I find when I go back and read an old lesson again, that it is always new. I always see how much I missed. It is like reading a new lesson. So thanks, Indira, thanks classmates, thanks angels. I am overflowing with gratitude today. This school was my first big step into spirituality and it has changed my life.
I am realizing that this person I call "me" is not the center of the universe. Something ELSE is. Something called Truth or God or Energy. This Energy is directing my life. The more I get out of the way, the more the Energy can show me the Way. It is clear and simple, but not for the ego. The ego always chooses the hard way. The ego is the hard way! The heart is the soft way, the clear and simple way. My ego likes the hard way--it likes to fight and struggle, compete, and come out on top--to win. But the winning of the ego is temporary. And I am beginning to see that it is always painful. When the ego wins, what is it really sitting on top of? A garbage heap. As I have read in my lessons -- when the ego wins, I lose.
So my recent prayer is that the ego loses. And the heart wins.
I liked the recent lesson on Money. It was very helpful in practical as well as spiritual ways.
Thank you! And here is a starry night, a universe of love, for all of you.

Angels Calling
Good Morning Dear Students,At least, it is morning here. The sun is shining on the green leaves outside my window. My little dog has had her first morning treat and she is happy just to be with me. I want to share with you an email I received from someone. Perhaps you will find it interesting, as I did. I like hearing about the different ways that angels are calling us. Angel are always calling us, in one way or another. It is just that we are so busy listening to the doubts and fears of our mind, that we so seldom hear the higher voices of the angels. We are so busy turning outward, towards the world, that we forget the most important turning --- turning within!
Hello Indira,
It seems the Angels are calling me!
While sorting through closets I came across a cassette tape of an Angel reading with you from May 19, 1994. Shortly after that, as I was looking in a horse book in my bookcase, a piece of paper fell out of it that had directions to your house on Maui, from when I visited you there; a bookmark on another page in bright pink that said, "Look for Angels".
To top it off, as I was looking for a tape player to listen to the tape, I opened a box and came across a framed angel print given to me by a friend.
OK, enough hints! I went online to discover that you still do this work and are now located in L.A. Not only that, you have a mini retreat close by in the near future. It is obvious that I am being called to be there.
It will be lovely to see you again.
Love and Blessings,
Janet

The Newsletter just went out, so be sure to read it! And please -- do share it with your friends, so that they might also benefit from The Clear and Simple Way, as you have. Thank you. And much much love and gratitude. Oh -- and here is a picture of me with 3 of your classmates when I was in Europe last autumn. That's Monika, Jutta, and her sister, Christel.
Be Inspired! You can do it! Never give up!
Check out this extraordinary lady!

It's never too late to be who you might have been.
The above quote is widely attributed the novelist George Eliot, but it was actually written by Dinah Maria (Mulock) Craik (1826-1887).

Listen!
Do you know of the poet-saint Mirabai? She was in an ecstasy of love for God and wrote much beautiful poetry. I love this one, below:
Listen
Listen, my friend, this road is the heart opening,
kissing his feet, resistance broken, tears all night.
If we could reach the Lord through immersion in water,
I would have asked to be born a fish in this life.
If we could reach Him through nothing but berries and wild nuts
then surely the saints would have been monkeys when they came from the womb!
If we could reach him by munching lettuce and dry leaves
then the goats would surely get to the Holy One before us!
If the worship of stone statues could bring us all the way,
I would have adored a granite mountain years ago.
You can read more about Mirabai here: http://www.biographyonline.net/spiritual/mirabai.html

Penny
My little dog, Penny, has been going through a rough time --- seizures. She had them every hour for a day and a night. Now she is on a medication which stops the seizures, but makes her slow and lethargic. Hopefully the bad side effects of the drug will wear off with time and she will return to herself. I have had many sleepless nights as she has not been well. Hopefully tonight she will sleep well. I plan to bring Penny to Europe in the fall, since I cannot leave her with anyone else during this challenging time in her life. So perhaps some of you will meet her when I am there. She is the sweetest dog ever. Here is Penny just before the seizures started, with me. We were very happy that day. Please send her healing light and love!

What matters most . . .
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire. -Charles Bukowski
http://bukowski.net/
This is the title of a book by Bukowski, as well as one of his poems. And it says so much.
And as the angels say . . .
It may be easy to have trust and faith when the stream is smooth and mellow, no highs, no lows, everything status quo. The challenge is to maintain that faith and trust even if the stream unexpectedly changes direction, dries up, or floods.
Faith and trust are as important to beauty as they are to difficulty. Did you know that? Otherwise fear can take over—fear that we cannot handle so much beauty, that we do not deserve it, that it is all a mistake, and we will lose it. We begin to identify with our thoughts. We forget we are everything and so we try to control everything. Then we cannot enjoy even the good things that come to us.
People often pray for strength to bear their “bad karma.” Angels say, if you are going to pray, then pray for the strength to bear both the “bad” and the “good.” Strength and courage are as necessary to beauty as they are to difficulty.
Row your boat merrily. Life is but a dream. Life is but a stream, a flow of consciousness. Do not seek to change the world to suit your list of preferences. Look instead to see which way your life is flowing and allow yourself to come into harmony with that flow.

Lord open my eyes wide so I can see
Dear Students,
Here I am sharing part of an email I wrote recently to someone, since it contains some words of wisdom we can all use...
Dear....
Time doesn’t exist except for us as personalities and physical beings, and can be transcended by our relationship with God, by cancelling the false me.
We must take what peaceful moments we can and drink them so we have enough water, like the camel, to carry us across the hot dry desert of human existence to the true oasis.
If we could only see, all suffering would be seen as nonexistent and self-created. Lord open my eyes wide so I can see must be a good prayer.
I pray for you that your anxiety and tension and stress be seen through and thus vanquished. And that you do not listen to self-harming voices but say no and take a different path to health and well-being at every level.
