Goodbye Robin

Dearest Students, you didn't know her, because she was one of those students who sat way in the back of the room and never raised her hand, but I want to take a moment to honor Robin, who passed away last night after a long illness. In the last months of her life, she found the angel lessons and said they were "invaluable." I want to take this moment to honor Robin's path into the Light.  She wrote me these words, just before she went into the hospital for the final time, after reading her last lesson: "I just took my little poodle, Curly, for a walk in a very new way of trying to be present in the moment. I noticed a lot of plants I never noticed before as well as the wonderful smells of autumn." I am glad we have this beautiful classroom and each other to share the journey with. You are all invaluable in my life. With love, respect, and gratitude to each of you.

Poetry of the Present Moment

L
ove rises like a fountain or cascades into us like light or flows over us like an ocean until we drown in its fatal embrace. Yes! We must give up everything we are not if we are to become what we are. We must pull the beautiful sword Excalibur from the cold hardness of the dark edge where the dark angel waits with love to be released from all it is not, wanting to be released, waiting eternally only that we turn with willingness and total surrender into the tunnel of its dark eyes and see the light shining there.

Early Childhood Memories

What are your earliest memories concerning your concept of God and spirituality?
M
y earliest childhood memories are of trying to find God so that I could understand the meaning of existence and where everything came from. I remember sitting quietly, willing myself to return to the beginning of everything, intent upon finding God, meditating before I knew the meaning of the word. I would have a sense of my body dissolving into nothingness and my consciousness expanding into sparkling space. Just when I was sure I was there, almost touching truth, I would disappear into a deep void. I would awaken from these meditations as puzzled as ever, wondering what had happened and where God was.

Being Grateful

Dear Judi, dear classmates,

I am thankful for being a student in your school, I am thankful for your work, your readings you gave to me and my friends…

and I am thankful for having a wonderful son, for living in a warm house, for having had delicious dinner tonight…and for having organic food and homemade cooking every day.

I am grateful for living in a place where I can dance, meditate and work – alone or together with others, I am grateful for being, I am grateful for being in love with life as it is…though not always ;-) , I am grateful for breathing and my heart pulsing, and I am grateful for my hips, who have been holding me in balance all the last years, even though the right one is very often hurting these days…may be it needs more gratitude?!
I am thankful for having a teacher who is present and shares this with me! I am very grateful for being able to be more and more in the present.

Love Light Laughter to you all,

Johanna

Happiness to Everyone!

Hi classmates! I haven't posted in awhile, though I've been stopping in to read what you all write on the "chalkboard." This classroom is where we learn, love, and laugh together. I like the new name "The Clear and Simple Way School." To me, this will always be the school of happiness, because it is making me happier. It's not making my ego "me" happier. My ego is kicking and screaming all the way to school! These have been intense times for me. I am having to let go of the old image of who I thought I was, which is both freeing and frightening. Thanks to all of you for being here for me to communicate with and hear what you have to say. It is gratifying to know that all of you are here. I can always enter the Classroom and find your friendly, open faces. I can always read some words of support and wisdom from our friendly teacher. I cannot imagine life now without this School and all of you. Happy Thanksgiving to you all, wherever you are. Love, Kevin

Monika

HAPPY 17th REIKI MASTER BIRTHDAY, Monika! And many more . . . with love!!!!

The ego is a very strong fighter!

Oh yes, journaling is very self-revealing. Often I am astonished myself about a word or a sentence that I just have written down! It's amazing. However, my journaling has only just begun - and I do hope it lasts. In former times I often used the excuse that I had little time for myself (with work and kids and....) for my spirtitual work. These times I found out, that it is the ego that is very, very good in finding any excuses!! Actually, in the meantime the time that I have for myself has grown a lot! And I noticed my mind telling me all kind of things that need to be done BEFORE doing the spiritual homework! It is very interesting how the ego struggles for its existence.
I also more and more become aware how strong my ego is! I have always heard your words about strong egos - and never really FELT it that way! Now, it seems to change slowly. It is very hard work to watch the own mind - even though I am trying to remind myself 1000 times a day. And the ego is very tricky, one has to be very alert not to get into the trap of the ego! So, with the awareness of all this, I am trying to stay diligently on my spiritual path! And I do ask the angels for help - and they do help :-))

Thanks, Ursula

Thanks, Ursula, for the beautiful Buddha card and for your gratitude. I am glad Lesson 27 came at just the right time and was just what you needed. The sincerity of your commitment to your spiritual growth is an inspiration. Receptivity and gratitude are two of our best friends to spiritual understanding. You have them both.

An Open Heart

Dearest Students, I have copied here a letter I just wrote to a student, whom I have advised to write about what it means to her to have an "open heart" . . .  since she feels her heart closes down. She says she has been following my suggestion, so here is my most recent response to her. It may also be helpful to you. I have, of course, left off identifying information:  I am glad you are journaling. I find writing to be incredibly self-revealing and self-healing. As you know, I write all the time...messages every day, a new lesson each month, poetry, to students. The more you write, the better you write, and the more messages can come through, from the angels, from your own heart and intuition. So keep writing.

Good evening

Do you like the new schoolroom design? It's fun. Tomorrow, Thursday, which is actually now, since it is after midnight, is the day I go to the Farmer's Market. I love to buy fresh produce directly from the farmers, both to help support them, and to purchase the freshest organic products I can. It is also less expensive. Mostly I love to feed my body with food that is life-giving and nourishing. In our School we learn to take good care of the bodies in which our spirits live, to honor our bodies as the temple of the spirit. It's kind to give the spirit a happy healthy home. And it feels better. So I encourage each of you to pay some attention to how you feed and care for your bodies. Love to you!

Good Morning

At least if you are in the USA it is morning. Just as time is different all over the world, depending on where you are, so is our experience of life, depending on where we are within our own self. Where are you right now? Pause and take a look. Pay attention. What is your body feeling right now? Are you remembering to breathe? Too often, we "hold our breath" throughout the day, or breathe in shallow ways. Too often we hold our bodies in uncomfortable positions. Today at least be aware of these things. Be aware of where you are.

school newsletter

By now you all have the school news and inspiration newsletter which I try and send out the 15th of each month, at least when I am not on the road. You also receive daily messages, the newsletter, and your lessons (as well as all the information, monthly messages, and bloggin on my website) which is all designed to help keep you on track...on the spiritual track! It all offers you the opportunity to replace limited false thinking with Truth! So keep on keeping on. There is gold at the end of the rainbow---the gold of your true divine nature. You can only discover it when you continue to diligently apply principals of Truth to your life. A thousand times a day!
Happy Birthday Monika!

FUN!

What do you consider as "fun" in your life? As you grow and evolve on your spiritual path, your idea of "fun" may change. You may naturally be drawn away from certain people and situations, or they may be drawn away from you. You may come to love the quietness of your own company. You may become your own best entertainment. The need to seek something or someone on the outside may lessen. You may experience yourself like a stream, simply flowing, in the present moment wherever you are, wherever you need to be. Life will be lived more effortlessly, because there will be no "me" there, thinking it must direct and control the way to go. You will no longer think you must "go" somewhere and "do" something to have fun. You will be having fun right where you are, right who you are!

Dear Students & Classmates

It is 5 am here in Los Angeles. We have had two days of wonderful rain. When I walk in nature all the rain angels are happy and the air smells like eucalyptus. I love these quiet early morning hours. Right now I am about to drink tea so I can have Tea Mind and write a new lesson. Your new lessons will be posted in your schoolrooms hopefully today. I like to have the lessons posted by October 7, and that is today.

Just a reminder, some of you have tuition due. I haven't sent out reminders yet, but I will.

More later. Need to save my writing for a new lesson!
