Merry Christmas
I wish you all a Merry Christmas. Stay kind. Stay loving. Keep those small everyday deeds of everyday kindness going. That is what can save us. My deepest love goes with you now and always. And that of the angels whose only desire is God's desire.

New Student Enthusiasm!!!
Here is an email I just received from a new student, who begins her lessons January 8. It is nice to know that a new student is going through the archives here in Your Open Classroom and that the constant effort I put into the classroom is serving someone in a positive way. Be sure to welcome any new students, should they stop by to say hello! (This one will recognize herself when she sees herself here.) If she can keep up this same level of enthusiasm she will reap many benefits.
Email:
"Thank you for sending the introduction. I am so eager to receive your Angel Lessons! Also, I visit the Classroom practically every day. I am reading myself through all the Messages/Lessons starting 2009...there is such a concentration of angel wisdom, so much to meditate about, that I only manage to advance very slowly. Thank you for being there for me!"

The mind
It is only if there is a mind that the question of making it one pointed
will arise. When you investigate by turning inwards, you find there is
no such thing as the mind. ~ Sri Ramana Maharshi
Deep peace of the running wave to you…
Deep peace of the running wave to you…
This poem comes from The Dominion of Dreams: Under The Dark Star by Fiona MacLeod (1895). Fiona MacLeod was a 19th century romantic and Celtic visionary and also, apparently the female pen name of William Sharp. This is a prayer is taken from the longer poem that follows:

Nice to know...
Today I had this email from a student who'd had trouble opening her lesson. I sent her it again and everything is fine. She wrote this to me after: "It is so nice to know, you are on the other side of the words you send......"
and I wrote back to her that it is also nice to know that she is on the other end of what I write.
That is what is special about our school and the lessons. You are not reading a book written by someone you have no possibility of ever seeing or having a personal communication with. I love knowing each of you are there, and I mean it when I say I think about each and everyone of you as I write and rewrite the lessons and send them off to you. Sometimes I am thinking about one of you in particular when I write something. Thanks for being there!
This picture is of baby owls with a stuffed toy owl "mother"--after they lost their mother, they needed a new mother to cuddle with and feel safe. So they were given this soft new mother owl. May you all feel just as safe and protected in the arms of the angels. Your devoted teacher

Why Do We Shout In Anger?
-Anonymous (probably a dog wrote it. Dogs really don't like shouting)
A saint who was once visiting a river to take a bath found a group of
family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He turned
to his disciples, smiled and asked.
A saint who was once visiting a river to take a bath found a group of

'Why do people in anger shout at each other?'
The disciples thought for a while, then one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout.'
'But, why should you shout when the other person is just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner,' asked the saint.
The disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples.
Finally the saint explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance.
What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either nonexistent or very small...'
The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they need not even whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'
He looked at his disciples and said, 'So when you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, or else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.'

Fear Not!
Thanks for the new lesson, Indira! I am grateful that I am in the 1st class, one of the first students to sign up, and so sometimes I get to receive an "old" lesson made new-when you revise and update it. And you are right, I get so much out of re-reading an older lesson. It is like I never read it before. This lesson is Fear Not!
This lesson is so deep I am flabbergasted. This paragraph astounded me:
"You must come to understand that there is something running your life that isn't you. Something that does not want you to be free and happy. Something that wants to destroy you, just as that something is destroying this man's health, keeping him in the darkness of unconsciousness, thinking he is winning, when he is losing."
You had been writing about a man who was choosing pain because he was listening to the false voice of fear. I am finally hearing what you are saying, have been saying all along, that there is something running my life that isn't me. The false self.
This is incredible, Indira. I must begin to see what is false about myself before I can begin to see what is true.
Thank you for this deep and mind blowing lesson, my teacher.
