Morning message, June 5, 2016, Burbank

Happy June Tune, June Moone Birthday to You and You and You. So glad you were born this month to share life with, if only from a distance. Stay in tune! 
Awareness exercise: Notice the thoughts in your mind that begin with, “I am afraid…” You may not know how often these words reverberate within your mind, compelling  your actions in the world. When these words are living your life for you, then, no matter what you do, even if it is the very best decision, fear grows within you. Study this and you will see it is so. Notice thoughts that begin with, “I am afraid that…I am afraid of…I am afraid to…I am afraid he/ she/they/ will…I am afraid I…I am afraid….”

These thoughts are there, whether or not you are aware of them. We are constantly making decisions, performing actions, saying and doing things because we are controlled by fear. We are afraid someone might not like us or will reject us. We are afraid of  “what might happen.” We are afraid to lose control, lose something or someone. We are afraid to appear  weak. We are afraid not to know. We are just afraid.

At least let the thought of “I am afraid…” become conscious. Hear it when it is there. You are only asked to become aware of this thought. That is a first step. Notice how the thought “I am afraid…” makes you feel. Notice how it takes away your freedom. Notice how it keeps you in anxiety. Notice how it keeps you from hearing your heart and following your intuition.
