Have you been practicing your last two awareness exercises? Awareness is everything! You come to your school to unlearn everything about yourself that is not true. Is it true that your true self is full of wants? Is it true that your true self is afraid? Please continue to study these aspects of yourself. When a thought arises, “I want…” let yourself look closely at that want. Bring it into the clear light of conscious awareness. Seek to understand it, not just leap to fulfill it.

We are not saying you should never get what you want. We are saying you should understand your desires. Be the master of your desires, instead of letting them be the master of you. Do not be an unconscious slave of wants and desires.
