Author of A Wrinkle in Time, for young people, but also good for people of any age. She used the theory of Quantum Mechanics, which I write about in the latest lesson, #75, Living in Oneness. I love her books!

Thanks for the tip Indira. I just read a Wrinkle in Time per your tip. Incredible! I am going to buy it as a gift for my nephew.
ReplyDeletethanks for the Tip, both of you. Made me curious, and got it for my son and myself
ReplyDeleteLet me know how you like the book, Petra. I read it first when I was around 13 years old and fell in love with it. There is a trilogy, so if you like this book (and your son does) there are 2 more. It's my favorite childhood book--along with The Secret Garden. Love you!
ReplyDeleteI happened to find an old copy of A Wrinkle in Time at a used bookstore, so have been reading it again. I realized I haven't read it since I was maybe 13. It's still a nice book, and I can see why I liked it back then.
ReplyDeleteAlso just finished reading Tarzan of the Apes--the original Edgar Rice Burroughs book. He creates a totally believable world, and I enjoyed entering into it. Haven't read Tarzan books since I was in high school. Since I am here in NYS visiting my mom, and I do not always have easy internet access, I have some extra time to read. There is too much snow and cold to spend a lot of time outside, though I manage to go for walks most days. Or nights.
Petra & Kevin, I happened to be in a used book store and came across the 2nd book in the trilogy -- A WIND IN THE DOOR. It is even better than the first one. A great book for young people. I think the angels helped L'engle write it. There is even a Cherubim in it. I had forgotten what was in the book, since I hadn't read them since I was a child.
ReplyDeleteIt took me some time but finally I read the Wrinkle in time, and liked it. I can understand why you liked it. It was a pity that it ended rather abruptly. My friend found the other books in english and I am looking forward to read on.
ReplyDeleteTimo didn't get to read it yet... he preferred and is now totally immersed in the world of Harry Potter.
Fortunately, books wait very patiently ;-)
