CHANGE YOUR BODY CHANGE YOUR FEELING

Hello Cherry Blossoms,
Speaking of cherry blossoms, ever notice how soft and flexible a flower is? This enables a flower to bend in the storm while the seemingly strong tree breaks! We can take lessons from nature. Nature is one of our greatest teachers and dearest companions when we take time to commune with her. Just as flowers constantly flow with the wind, bending and moving their tiny flower bodies, so must we, if we are to be happy, free, and joyous. Yes, we must be flexible. Over the years our bodies take on certain rigid patterns based on the way we think, feel, and act. Overtime we do not even realize that our bodies are in a holding pattern--holding onto stress and tension. So please begin to notice your body throughout your day. Notice the rigidity and tension. Then consciously breathe into these places as you release any pain, fear, and rigidity. Consciously change the position of your body. Yes! Teach your body new ways to be. Imagine yourself as a flower blowing in the soft wind -- flexible, free, and full of energy!

  1. It is not so easy to change my position is what I found out. There are lazy places in my body that want to stay lazy The tension wants to stay tense. This will require some work, first to remember to be aware of the positions of laziness and tension my body is holding, and then to shift my body. I can see it will have positive ramifications. Thanks for a great exercise, Indira, that we can do throughout the day to bring us closer to inner and outer peace.
