YOUR INNER GENIUS

A tiny grain of sand entered the shell of a little oyster and began to irritate its soft interior. The little oyster, who happened to be a seeker on the path, began to ruminate, “Why did this happen to me?"

"What did I do wrong that God is tormenting me so? How can I get rid of this pain? Why must I suffer? Even after all my seeking to know God, still I find myself in this lamentable condition. I am so ashamed of my plight.”

He suffered like this until, one day, his wise Grandmother came to visit, bringing precious pearls of wisdom with her. “Silly little oyster,” she scolded gently, “Your own blame and criticism are the cause of your suffering. Relax. Go within and find your inner genius! You are perfect as you are, even with this tiny speck of dirt. You just are as you are. The world just is as it is. Accept what you cannot change and you will have the power to change what you can.”
As the little oyster listened to her words with an open heart, understanding began to dawn within him! He breathed a deep sigh of relief and instantly a soothing fluid was released, which  encapsulated the tiny grain of sand that had been causing him so much pain. Soon a beautiful pearl began to form.

The oyster, of course, does not really think. It simply is. It does not have to “try” to get rid of the irritant. Instinctively the oyster secretes a substance called nacre, which protects its soft interior and creates a precious pearl.

Listen! Can you hear? The angels are whispering pearls of wisdom to you even now. Yes! They have been whispering for eons. Listen!

“Wake up, Beloved! Wake up! Come home. Come home to Consciousness. Thoughts come. Thoughts go. Emotions flow. Emotions go. Bodies come. Bodies grow. Bodies go. Wake up! Life is but a dream. Life is but a stream of consciousness. There is only Consciousness. There is only Love. Wake up, Beloved! You are loved. You are love itself!”
