Dear classmates
I am trying to find a story Judy once posted.
It was about a man who was convinced that he was dead and finally went to a doctor..........
I liked it a lot :-)
Unfortunaley I cannot find it any more in all the post, messages and lessons.
Who can help me finding it?
Happy Sunday and lots of love,
Sandra
Hi Sandra, I don't think I ever posted that story. But I have told it in seminars...and that is probably where you remember it from. It is probably better told then written, but let me give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThere was this man who thought he was dead. He went around saying, "I am dead, I am dead." His wife finally convinced him to go to a psychiatrist. The doctor tried everything, but no matter what he did, the man still believed he was dead.
Finally the doctor had an idea. He asked the man, "Do dead men bleed?" and the man said, "No, dead men do not bleed."
"Ah hah!" said the doctor and quickly stuck the man in the hand with a needle. The man looked in disbelief at his bleeding hand.
"Oh my god," said the man, "I was wrong. Dead men do bleed!"
Dear Judi!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
Yes, this is the story I was looking for. Isn't it great!?!?
I thought I had read it here somewhere - so I was wrong too ;-)
Love, Sandra
ha, I like your sense of humor, Sandra (you were wrong too, like the man who was convinced he was dead).
ReplyDeleteha-ha-ha. Thanks for getting this story told here in the classroom, Sandra!
ReplyDeleteHa Sandra! You were NOT wrong! I was. I was preparing Lesson 5 for one of the schoolrooms, and guess what I read there? This:
ReplyDelete"Did you read the post in the Open Classroom, which I wrote on Monday, February 23rd, entitled, What is Truth?
If so, then do you recall the story about the man who believed he was dead? Our minds are just like his! Just like the man who thought he was dead, we cling to our false beliefs and ways of thinking and living – even when we are confronted with absolute proof that they are false!"
So that story was published right here! I will see if I can find it in a moment. There are no coincidences!
Okay, Sandra, I just reprinted the entire post here in the Classroom that contains the Dead Man Story. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDear Judi!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :-))
Coincidences are so amazing!!!
Love, Sandra
