THIS MORNING THE ANGELS CAME

 

This morning the light fell 

through my window 

like a blessing across my skin 

turning my room into a cathedral of light 

and I saw the angels talking to God 

and they were laughing

Praised be God

God is here

and they lifted me

from the deep sleep of the world

and when I looked back

my body lay like a baby 

in a lullaby of love

and the angels called me

by my secret name

and turned me to face the face of God

this is the face of your Beloved

they whispered in my ear

and the Light descended

like a snow white dove

like a veil of lace

like apple blossoms

and I tasted the sweetness of God’s breath

I drank the honey of God's love

until there was no me

God is here

when my cup was full and runneth over

the angels turned me back onto the river of life

flowing golden from the Center 

of God’s love back to earth

where my body lay helpless and small

like a newborn baby

This is my body which is given for you

Go back, they whispered,

go back and take care of it
go back and let gratitude
melt everything you are not

This do in remembrance of God

until there is nothing
nothing but light
and the body surrenders 

its needs and desires

because you have loved it,
and honored it, because
you have given it only
gratitude and sweetness

for this is what makes a body holy
this is what makes a body pure enough
to relinquish its hold

nothing, nothing but gratitude
breaks the cycle of revolving
on the wheel of karma

Sit with your body and be naked. Completely naked. In mind and body. Be open. Open to Receive.
Turn your attention to any scars, imperfections on your body, places of pain that need your attention.

Lovingly turn your attention towards that scar. Caress it. Hold it. Hold it with all the love and care you can. Feel its need. Feel your need. The need to love and be loved. The need to accept and be accepted.

Feel that scar or imperfection or pain as part of your being, not separate. Nothing to be ashamed of or to hide. If there is anything or anyone to forgive, allow forgiveness to arise—just to arise—no need to know what forgiveness should look or feel like. Just let it arise like a soft touch bringing healing and release.

Let the past, the past that created that scar or pain, let it go. Let everything go. And be here now in loving acceptance of what is.

Repeat this as often as you need. It is better to send love and acceptance to places of pain and sorrow than to send hate and anger. Love and acceptance bring healing. Just as the angels love and accept you and so bring light unto you, so be here now with yourself in loving acceptance and peace and so bring light unto yourself.

Without masks. Without barriers. Without resistance. At least try.

The Lotus Flower

When you worry excessively about the future, you are holding hands with darkness. You have already forgotten the purity and innocence of the present moment. You have forgotten that all the mud in the world cannot touch the pure lotus blossom of your true nature. You have forgotten that the thicker and deeper the mud, the more beautiful the lotus blooms.

Past, Present, Future

Here we are, having just moved from the "past" -- 2017 -- into the "new" -- 2018. Many people have, will be, or are making New Year Resolutions. People may start out the 'new year' with inspiration, but most often, for most people, the new soon becomes old. Resolutions are forgotten. Soon one is just slogging along in the same old way.

I always find it fascinating, this idea of past and future—that our present ways of thinking and being are what we carry with us into the future. When we really understand this, we will want to be very careful with our present moments. We will want to be aware of what we are thinking, feeling, and doing right now. We won’t be worrying so much about the future because we will be focused on where we are now. In this body. In this moment.

Ask that the angels burn away everything that you are not. Be willing to offer yourself, the false self, upon the altar of God. This is the only sacrifice God wants—that you surrender everything you are not, so you can be everything you are.

The Great Body of Love

While we are a spiritual school, we always recognize that the spiritual includes the physical. Angels, who have no physical bodies, never forget what it means to be incarnated in a physical body. There are many physical bodies upon earth. Human egos tend to think of only their own body because, as you know, ego believes it is the Center of Everything. This cannot be, because God is the Center of Everything. God is Everything. God is the Center. God IS. Ego is not. Ego is a mere belief, a false belief.

There are many bodies upon earth. Human bodies. Bodies of animals. Bodies of trees, grasses, grains, seeds, nuts, and flowers; the great body of the ocean and all the bodies that exist within the ocean; the bodies of mountains, boulders, rocks, and pebbles; the bodies of the forest and everything that dwells within the forests.

The sap of trees is their life blood -- no less important or significant than the life blood of humans. The life blood of animals is as important as the life blood of humans. The First People of the earth knew this. When they chose to take the life of an animal, plant, or herb for food, medicine, or clothing, they knew to honor that life, not to take it recklessly, in game or sport or cruelty -- to take only what they needed for their own life. They knew to ask the earth for the blessing of that body.

Even money has a body -- the body of the tree or minerals from which it is made. Humans take the body of the earth and create money and then call that money "mine." People hoard that money, which comes from the body of the earth, and believe they are stronger or better or wiser because they have more money than someone else. They forget that someone else helped them "make" that money. In reality, no one makes money. They simply accumulate money.

Human beings work in rain forests and jungles, on plantations, in sweat shops and factories, on farms, on the land, and in offices. Without all these people working so hard, no one who is called "rich" could become rich. But "rich" people forget this. They forget that everything they have, even the money they hold in their hand, comes from the great richness of Mother Earth. Everything that IS upon the face of the earth comes from the Mother. It is She who gives birth to everything. 

So remember to give thanks to Mother Earth. Honor Her. Make friends of the trees, many of whom are older than you will ever be. Even something as small as a bee performs a function that is vital to maintaining the life of humans. Bees can exist without human life, but humans cannot exist without bees.

Honor the Great Body of Love, Mother Earth

During this beautiful holy season when so many
different celebrations of Light are taking place, I
wish you the peace in your heart and soul that

from within, from your connection to all things
good and holy, which come from Truth or God or

Let’s not join a world that fights over what name

Let’s try to remember to stay in the present
moment, which is the greatest present of all.
Notice when you are talking about the past. Ask
yourself: Who is doing the talking? Is it ego? Ask
yourself: Is it relevant to NOW?

Look around you. Be aware. Are you aware of
how your words are affecting the people around

you, or are you too caught up in your own ego to
notice?

The ego doesn’t care about the present, and it has
no presents to give anyone, no matter how much
money it has or how many gifts it can buy. The
ego is always the sun of its own universe. The ego
is a universe unto itself.

So give yourself the gift of remembering to stay in
the Present Moment. Here is where you find Eternity.
Here is where Love is. Here is Truth.

Stay out of the past. Stay out of the future. Just
choose to stop living there—that is not real life. It
is the ego getting high over what isn’t real. The ego
is an addict, always getting high, getting low.

You are not here for the highs and lows. You are
here for the Present. In this Present Moment shines
the Light of all Wisdom, all Compassion, all Love.
You can enter that Light now. Ego can never enter 

that Light, because ego is made of dark. Just as 

darkness dissolves when the light is turned on, so 

does the ignorance of ego dissolve in the Light of 

Understanding—and it's a choice. You must choose 

to willingly allow the unreal to dissolve in the Light 

of Truth.

Winter Solstice

Yesterday was Dec. 21, the longest day of the year. The best known winter solstice celebration is held by druids in Wiltshire, England, at the Neolithic Stonehenge monument. Adherents to the ancient Celtic religion give thanks to the sun at the solstice for beginning its path toward the spring.
Speaking of which, let's gives thanks to the Light as we continue our path towards spring — the eternal Spring of Understanding that is within you.

Near-Death Experience

 

You may know that it was with the intervention of angels that I survived a near-death experience in 1981 during which I encountered the Light of all wisdom, love, and compassion. I chose to go to the Light but an angel sent me back to my life on earth. Angels and Beings of Light intervened to protect and guide me, not only while I was out of my body, but also after I returned to it.

This experience shook the cornerstones of what I considered to be normal reality. It profoundly transformed my life and changed the course of my career. I was not meant to die that night, at least my body was not meant to cease to function upon the face of the earth with 'me' in it. Death is another concept altogether. The 'I' is never born and never dies.

Following this near-death experience, my natural empathic abilities, always very keen, began to deepen and expand. I sensed the angels around me and was able to intuit their messages. Amazed and astounded by this, I questioned deeply what was happening to me. I had always thought of myself as a very pragmatic, down-to-earth person, perhaps even more so since my contact with the angels because angels, in spite of the many myths human beings have created about them, are among the most down-to-earth beings one could ever encounter.

Germany

Since there are so many students here from Germany, and Germany, as well as Switzerland, are part of my annual European Tour, I thought this was interesting:

What US state is the same size as Germany?
Montana comes closest at 147,000 sq miles. Next is New Mexico at 121,000 sq miles. In terms of population, no US state comes close to Germany's 80 million inhabitants, but California is closest with almost 39 million.

The Light side of the Moon

Okay, so it's early morning here on the dark side of the moon -- or at least in Jamestown, NY where I am right now. It's still dark outside though. The snow of the past few days (there was a blizzard the day I flew in from Europe on Dec. 12) is melting and the green grass is appearing again. The wandering deer from the nearby woods will be happy.

Sitting here with my computer about to write a morning school message, I was distracted by a request on my computer to take a personality test. It had beautiful pictures of nature to look at, so I succumbed. Here is what it said about my personality:

"You are as rosy as a red rose, and you offer a breath of fresh air wherever you go. You radiate warmth, and people are attracted to your sensitive, calming energy. You have your feet on the ground and understand what it means to have patience -- as in difficult situations your soothing energy always offers a helping hand to those in need. Soft and gentle, people fall in love with you very easily and you should recognize your calming powers in this world."

Well, people who do not want to live in the truth will most likely not fall in love with me very easily. The darkness (ego) never falls in love with anything but itself, and that isn't real love. 

So when people who used to "love" you, even your best friends, even family members -- when you find others suddenly avoiding you for no reason, maybe getting angry or upset with you -- finding ways to stay away from you or cut the intimacy -- just know that this can happen as you get closer to the light. Keep being kind and polite to everyone. You will find new friends and companions coming into your life -- those people who are as dedicated to the light as you are.

Return from Europe December 2017

Hi Everyone,
I have completed my 2017 European Tour and finally have space and time and opportunity to return to Your Open Classroom. Did you even know I wasn't here? Hmm. It looks like it was lonely since I was gone, so I will have to put some logs in the fireplace and brew some hot tea to warm the one-room school. Actually, there are many rooms here. Many many posts, so you can always find something to read, to comfort and enlighten your soul and heart. Know that I love and appreciate you. Oh -- and I added a new background -- snow, since it is winter. And it is really winter where I am, here in western New York State, close to Canada, in the heart of the snowbelt. Here's a fuzzy picture.  P.S. I will try to write more about my tour. I say try, because it depends on what I feel like when the future moments come.
