Prayer for Spiritual Healing
I ask the Great
Unseen Healing Force to remove all obstructions from my mind and body
and to restore me to perfect health. I ask this in all sincerity and
honesty and I will do my part. I ask this Great Unseen Healing Force to
help both present and absent ones who are in need of help and to
restore them to perfect health. I put my trust in the love and power of
God.

wisdom of Socrates
Some of the wisdom of Socrates...
1) “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.”
2) “The unexamined life is not worth living.”
3) “There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.”
4) “I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think”
5) “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
6) “Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people.”
7) “By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you’ll become happy; if you get a bad one, you’ll become a philosopher.”
8) “He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.”
9) “If you don't get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don't want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can't hold on to it forever. Your mind is your predicament. It wants to be free of change. Free of pain, free of the obligations of life and death. But change is law and no amount of pretending will alter that reality.”
10) “Sometimes you put walls up not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.”
11) “Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.”
12) “To find yourself, think for yourself.”
13) “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.”
14) “Know thyself.”
15) “Let him who would move the world first move himself.”
16) “The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.”
17) “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
18) “I am not an Athenian or a Greek, but a citizen of the world.”
19) “Prefer knowledge to wealth, for the one is transitory, the other perpetual.”
20) “understanding a question is half an answer”
21) “True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us”
22) “He is richest who is content with the least, for content is the wealth of nature.”
23) “To be is to do”

Hirth Martinez Poem
The Ride
Put the ego in the back seat
Sit high and free, with love in the seat beside you
Breathing as one in perfect harmony, carefree
And continue moment to moment, in love
You'll see things as never before
You'll see things you've never seen before
You'll see things you never knew existed
The ride will be short, yet it'll last forever.
Put the ego in the back seat
Sit high and free, with love in the seat beside you
Breathing as one in perfect harmony, carefree
And continue moment to moment, in love
You'll see things as never before
You'll see things you've never seen before
You'll see things you never knew existed
The ride will be short, yet it'll last forever.

Great Enthusiasm!!!
Dear You,
I hope you are waking up or having dinner or going to bed, depending on your time Zone, with great enthusiasm. Angels tell us that anything worth doing is worth doing with Great Enthusiasm. Otherwise, why bother? We are here to be fully alive! Not half-awake or half-asleep: bored, unhappy, frustrated, wishing we were somewhere else than where we are. Speaking of, this is a good exercise to practice: the WHERE AM I? exercise. Ask yourself that question now and again (remember your lesson, Questions?) - "WHERE AM I?" Then find out! Your body may be driving your car, but you pass by your exit or your turn or go through a red light, because your mind is not where your body is.
Which leads us to another exercise: Remind yourself throughout your day: BE WHERE YOUR BODY IS! Your body needs you! There! Completely! Your body needs your full and undivided attention. Otherwise it gets into trouble.
I really started this post to share the link below with you. It is about writing, and so much more! Read it if you get the chance. Teachers are everywhere, and goodness knows, we all need teachers and Teachers to keep us on the path and help awaken us to our Inner Teacher. Even if you never write (though I encourage you to write) this article contains valuable information, for being one-pointed, for being disciplined, for not letting yourself be controlled by the world - or your own mind - for following the dreams that are meant to become your realities!
With Great Enthusiasm!
your fellow classmate and teacher
p.s. -- might I add that the article below is written "tongue-in-cheek" -- with a sense of humor because, of course, the author is not this disciplined. No human being is. She does all the things she says she doesn't, at least some of the time -- and still manages to be a published writer. So the best message is: Don't be hard on yourself. Strive for your dreams. Be as disciplined and aware as you can be, but don't...don't...don't...be too hard on yourself when you don't live up to your own expectations. Approach life with some humor. And keep climbing the ladder. With GREAT ENTHUSIASM! Higher, higher.

A Stone Tower I found in the Forest. Not the dark forest of Ego, but in the light forest of Mother Nature, which is akin to our True Nature. Go to Nature whenever you can: forests, woods, oceans, fields, meadows, mountains, gardens, rivers, lakes, and ponds, and you will find your True Nature there. Go and be rested. Be healed. Let yourself be filled with Great Enthusiasm for Life. Let yourself Live.

Truth is Everywhere
"There is nothing in the world so damaged that it cannot be repaired by the hand of almighty God. I encourage you to know this, because without this certainty, we should all of us be mad." - Detective Hercule Poirot- Appointment with Death by Agatha Christie
Being Practical is Being Spiritual
Question: What does an enlightened man do when he spills a cup of coffee?
Answer: He cleans it up.
Angels exist honestly and spontaneously in the now. Angels are not interested in being right—angels are interested in _being_. Angels trust that solutions come when solutions are needed. Because angels accept what cannot be changed, they have the power to change what they can, according to the will of God. Angels are not into shame or blame, and they never complain. Angels do not bemoan a past that has already happened. Angels wisely understand that it is “no use crying over spilt milk, because all the forces of the universe were bent on spilling it.” *
Question: What does an unenlightened person do when he spills a cup of coffee?
Answer: I think we all know the answer to this, since we are all asleep. We all know what we do when we drop something, break something, make a mistake. You know what you do inside yourself, or what your thoughts do to you. You know what happens to your emotions. You know how your identification with thoughts and reactions keeps the wheel of karma spinning. And spinning. How it keeps thoughts spinning. How one wrong reaction leads to another. You know all this. So keep this in mind:
Question: What does an enlightened man do when he spills a cup of coffee?
Answer: He cleans it up.
The end
* W. Somerset Maugham (1874–1965), English novelist. “It’s no use crying over spilt milk, because all the forces of the universe were bent on spilling it.” --Of Human Bondage

Success
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. - Sir Winston Churchill
Our Spiritual Connection with Animals
http://shareably.net/mongolia-reindeer-tribe-v1
Absolutely stunning photographs. And a stunning story of the spiritual connection between humans and animals...
Through their unique culture, the Dukha people have developed a unique relationship with neighboring reindeer. They use them as means of transportation over the treacherous terrain they call home. The Dukha also train golden eagles to aid in their hunting. They don’t just train reindeer. They also train wolves! The Dukha believe they have a spiritual connection with all animals.

Soul Lessons
We are here to remember our divine essence. You are here to remember your divine essence; to learn, to see, to feel, to love, and nurture your soul. Angels sing this word remember to you like a lullaby. Remember. Remember who you are. Remember your soul. Remember.

Poem
Thinking in Separation from All That IS
Because myself is this flow of thoughts itself
I call another thought to bind it to me forever
to make it secure
but they are like birds
that fly in front of me
all of the time
Because myself is this flow of feelingsI call another feeling to bind it to me forever
to make it secure
but they are like birds
that fly in front of me
all of the time
Because myself is this flow of words
I call another word to bind it to me forever
to make it secure
but they are like birds
that fly in front of me
all of the time
And I don’t want to let them go.
Because myself is this flow of thoughts itself
I call another thought to bind it to me forever
to make it secure
but they are like birds
that fly in front of me
all of the time
Because myself is this flow of feelingsI call another feeling to bind it to me forever

What do you want?
"Most
people tell you they want to get out of kindergarten, but don't believe
them. Don't believe them! All they want you to do is to mend their
broken toys. 'Give me back my wife. Give me back my job. Give me back my
money. Give me back my reputation, my success.' This is what they want;
they want their toys replaced. That's all. Even the best psychologist
will tell you that, that people don't really want to be cured. What they
want is relief; a cure is painful." --Anthony De Mello - he was an Indian Jesuit priest and psychotherapist, spiritual teacher, writer and public speaker.RISING ABOVE CLICHÉS

"Refuse to act according to the dictates of society. Just let yourself be. No matter how old you think you are becoming, refuse to act old. Refuse to think old. Refuse to feel old. Refuse to walk old. Refuse to let clichés, such as, 'You are not getting any younger,' or any other limiting beliefs penetrate your psyche and make you afraid. Refuse to let yourself be defined and limited by clichés! "-from Lesson 14: Rising Above Clichés.

Complain = Pain
Scientists say: “Neurons that fire together, wire together.”
Some of you have read lessons, or messages, where I talk about the negative aspects of complaining. Here is an article which goes into it in depth, gives some practical solutions -- and supports what the angels already know! The angels always say that Complain minus the letter L = pain. L stands for Love. When LOVE is lacking, so are we. Lack of love in our lives, in our actions, always leads to pain. I reprinted the whole article here for you, and here is the link, if you want to visit the page yourself: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/

Good Morning!
Good Saturday Morning Teacher and Classmates, and thank you all for being here, for joining me in my morning cup of coffee, strong black, no cream, no sugar. I feel good knowing some of you might be here with me this morning, sharing these words, discovering Truth, walking the spiritual path with me. I like the newly decorated classroom. Is this your painting, Indira? I am already looking forward to Lesson 100. I can't believe I have so many lessons, and there is always another one waiting for me, just around the bend. Gratitude to all of you, to this moment I am in, to the classroom, to the sky, to the birds singing, to the walk I am about to take. -Kevin
