I often get email questions from students, which I respond to—eventually. When I post them here, I remove identifying information. This student said he felt competitive with a friend of his, which bothered him, since he didn't want to feel this way.
I replied...Of course, you know there's nothing to compare. Of course, you do, but such feelings are not logical, or they'd never exist.
You and he are different people. Seek to be true to your nature, not his (the mental construct you create about him). He is quite lovely at expressing his nature, and you are equally lovely at expressing yours. SO remind yourself that any thought of competition comes from the dark side. Not from the light. Not from Truth. Just observe it.
