Angels are joyous because angels consciously serve God with awareness. Or you could say that angels continuously serve Truth, which is another name for God. Angels serve God with complete abandon, joyously, in the present moment, with no attachment to the outcome of their actions. Angels do not try to be what they are not. Angels do not try to take over someone else’s duty. Angels perform only their own duty. This allows angels to be completely focused, present, and aware. Isn’t this what spirituality is really about—being focused, present, and aware?
