You are not on earth to be "normal." You are here to learn what it is to be natural -- naturally you. Not unnaturally you. Not false you. Not trying to live up to anyone elses standards, even the standards of society ... maybe, especially the standards of society. Who set those standards?
This does not mean that you must not adhere to cultural norms and be a functioning part of the society you live in. We don't do things just to shock people or get attention. That's just more ego. We make our way calmly through life.
It means that you are not on earth to be a non-thinking reacting robot. You are not here to try to be something or someone or live up to the expectations of society. You are here to become. Become what? Become what you naturally are. In being as you naturally are, you come to a great acceptance of yourself, which means you come into peace. Peace is your natural birthright. Peace. Is. Natural.
Become: • grow to be; turn into: the child will become an adult.
Just as the child naturally becomes a mature adult, when given proper care and nourishment, so do you naturally become a mature spiritual being when you give yourself proper spiritual care and nourishment. Just as the 'adult' is always part of the child, so is your natural Spiritual Self part of you.
Just as darkness becomes day as the sun rises in the sky, so does the darkness in you (unconsciousness) become light (consciousness): Consciousness living in full awareness of Itself.
So do not despair if you do not fit into some "normal" category. What is normal changes from culture to culture anyway. What is natural is the same in any culture: It is natural to be a kind, pleasant human being. A spiritual being is a kind being. Naturally kind. Not superficially kind, trying to get something from other people or society.
Be of Good Cheer! You are here! You are here in your Classroom. You are here in your School. You are actively, consciously making the moment-to-moment choice to grow and evolve and become what you really are. You are becoming real. Becoming you. The real and radiant, pure and natural you.
In the words of Picasso, “My mother told me, if you become a soldier you will be a general. If you become a monk you will end up as a pope. Instead I became a painter and I wound up as Picasso.” Is it not a lovely thought—to wind-up as yourself—in all your absolute and unique divinity? 😇
