"Turn, Turn, Turn" - The Seekers
The
words to this song are from the book of Ecclesiastes in the Old
Testament, adapted by Pete Seeger. Beautiful and uplifting words
of wisdom.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRg9NkIdjVs
the song is very beautiful.I always loved it.It played in switzerland on the radio all the time.At that time I didn't really understand english as well. The video is so "kitsch" and makes me smile.Thank you Indira for this.ox
Her voice is so comforting. Here is my nature story I wanted to share:
On my walk along a path of Redwoods I had been offering love. The lack of water was causing damage to limbs even to this might tree. I asked them to soak up water from the deep earth, below the dry creek bed and take in the morning fog. Within a few weeks the landscape crew was digging extensive trenches to put in irrigation for the trees. I felt so grateful that they were receiving help. I had not expected to see a physical manifestation of my prayer. And yesterday, a gift in return from the Redwoods. I moved to the base of tree as sprinklers were going. Looking down I noticed an object of interest. To my delight it was a hummingbird nest. So very tiny (1 1/2") woven and decorated with moss. I assumed the fledglings had left and the nest released from a branch. When I open myself to nature, the energy is shared and revives me, similar to art and music. Of course I am keeping the nest!
What a beautiful story, Debra ... and how happy the nature spirits must have been, to have you and other human beings working on the behalf of the Redwoods. There are no coincidences in life. Small miracles abound, when we have eyes to see and ears to hear. The humming bird nest is surely a gift of Nature to you.

ReplyDeleteUrsula, I like to know that song played in Switzerland when it was so popular, and that you remember it.
