Peace Like A River

This is a house in England which I posted here just because I like it so much. I grew up in the country, by a river. The river was a great teacher, just as it was in the book about the Buddha -- the book by Hermann Hesse, Siddartha (which you can read for free here: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/2500/2500-h/2500-h.htm)

Now I live in the city, not so far from the ocean, but perhaps someday I will live by a river again. Oceans are vast and sparkling and some people prefer them. I prefer rivers that are always flowing to the ocean.

  1. What a beautiful home!England why not??? I have been thinking about a change of living as well and admire all kinds of photos.I even had numerous dreams of walks in forests in the last few weeks.( maybe the heat in LA is getting to me...)
We grew up on a hill with a view of mountains-which to this day makes me happy to see.Having nature so closed by is truly a quality.

  2. I like this place, you posted. I would love to live at a place like this.
Thank you Ursula for inviting us and sharing your open heart, your kindness and your knowledge.
Here back in Germany it is more than 20 degree celsius colder than in L.A. .... a sort of cold, in comparison.

  3. Forests are wonderful places to be! I would like some dreams like that, Ursula. Yes, Monika, it looks a beautiful place to live. Stay warm in Germany. Right now, I wish for some of your coldness. Too bad we can't share. :)
