I appreciate this post. Each sentences rings true, and reminds that there was once a time when the presidents of the United States seemed to be men in touch with their heart, with something more than the greed of today's worldwide politicians.
Each sentence is a lesson in itself, deserving of great contemplation. If I was not so lazy, I would comment on each sentence. I have never read these words from Lincoln before. Thanks.
I am happy to have this safe place to write, Indira. I remind myself that my spiritual journey is up to me. Even if no one else shows up, I must show up. I show up for myself--and for God. I show up and do the work. There is only God anyway. And I know that I always have the angels support, the support of the school, and the support of my inner Teacher -- as well as my outer teacher, you. Now I begin to see and hear the Teacher talking to me through many sources in the world. The School and my attention to my lessons and homework -- it has opened my eyes and ears so I see and hear differently. I feel I am being lifted up, attuned to another vibration that i never knew existed. This path is the most exciting happening in my life. Nothing matters more than this spiritual journey I am on. My attention is being drawn away from being successful in the world, to being successful in my soul. When I am spiritually successful, all else follows.
