Yeah! And ever so often I do that to myself... comparing myself to others, which is just the same. But I notice more often... which is also due to our lessons in this school. So thank you for reminding me that I am a fish in the water ;-))
Have you ever contemplated that there is a marvelous genius within you?
There are more kinds of genius than can be measured by an IQ test designed and formulated by a human mind. “Genius” according to Thomas Alva Edison “is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.” According to another genius, Albert Einstein, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” And the late, great genius musician, Thelonius Monk said, “A genius is one who is most like himself.” The word genius comes from the Romans who worshiped Genius as a guardian spirit. The Romans believed every man was born with a Genius who protected and guided him throughout his life. The genius for a woman was called her Juno. Have you ever considered your own genius? Have you ever considered the genius of the moment? Have you ever looked around you with wonder and awe, appreciating the genius of the moment, without complaint or criticism?
Today, I will conciously take time to consider the genius within, the genius of the moment, without complaint or criticism. Thank you for calling me in :-)
Patra, Repeating those words is a conscious inner affirmation--words you have never said before. Think of it! New words given birth to within you. Positive, uplifting, transforming affirmations of truth.
