Hi Every One!
It's Kev wishing you all a Happy Easter wherever you are -- or aren't. Thanks for the little bird photo, Jean-Paul, that Indira sent along with her Easter message today. I've never seen you here in the classroom, JP, but I am sure I have never seen many of you here, and possibly never will. Happy Easter anyway! I am rushing off for a long hike, to celebrate Easter with the rabbits and whatever other little creatures I happen to see out there -- and to commune with my own soul -- alone -- one of my best places to be -- alone in the wilderness, when I am not with students who are dedicated to Truth. More and more as I continue in the school, I find my desire to be with "ordinary" people falling away. By "ordinary" I mean people who are dedicated to becoming "somebody" in the world. I like to be successful and earn money and do well with my career -- but no longer do I think I have to be "somebody." Sometimes my mind does go in that direction -- comparing me and my life to others --- which is very painful -- and I watch that happening, sometimes getting involved in it, and spending time in the pain -- until I am pulled, thankfully, back to the teachings in our school, back to remembering the teachings. Kev
Hi Kevin,
ReplyDeleteIt is good to see you here in the open classroom, as always! How was your hike? What a wonderful way to spend Easter day. It was uplifting to read what you said about communing with your own soul - alone in the wilderness.
And if you feel like sharing about your horse riding lessons here, I'd love to hear about them. As much as I love animals and nature, horseback riding scares me too. They are such large animals and can be unpredictable. However, I actually took my son a couple of times when he was younger, and I enjoyed the experiences. I asked for the gentlest horse they had, and it was fine!
Thank you for sharing parts of your lives.
ReplyDeleteEaster sunday sunrise in the early morning I was with a friend and her dog in the woods at a well. We took easter water and were wellcoming the light. On our walk afterwards through beautiful morning nature we saw a running fox. At some places we stoped to sing praises.
And later we had breakfast together with crystal clear easter water also for coffee and tea.
I wish us all a renewing with, in and through the LIGHT.
Monika
Monika,
ReplyDeleteYou described your day so beautifully, that I felt like I was there with you enjoying the nature, the light, the foxes, the praises and the crystal clear easter water with you. Reading your post was a joyful way to begin my day! Thank you for sharing it.
Love,
Mary Birdsong
Hi Monika and Mary, it seems we are all nature lovers. As for horse back riding, I also asked for a gentle horse. I think she is a lazy horse and doesn't like to work hard, so that is fine for me, since I am a lazy horse back rider. It feels good to move slowly and see the sights of nature around me. I feel a companionship with this horse, like we are communicating at some level. She is wonderful and I try to be gentle in return, and not intrude to harshly upon her world, since she so kindly lets me ride upon her back. I let her be my guide, and she lets me guide her.
ReplyDeleteHello Kevin, & everyone, Yes, nature is a garden of God's continual love cascading into our hearts, filled with nature spirits, who are part of the angelic kingdom.
ReplyDeleteAs for trying to be "somebody...".... it is harder than we think to stop trying to be somebody. The ego that has been in control of our life for so long does not easily give up. So watch for its many tricks. If it can't get in one door, it will get in another.
We must be constantly vigilant and aware.
Much love to you all.
