What
does it mean to think positively at the highest level? It means to let
go of ego desires and let something higher come in and guide us. We
come to realize that there is an easy flowing harmony to life and we
can be in that harmony when we stop trying to direct the show. As easy
and flowing as this harmony is, it is never easy for the ego, because
the ego seeks disharmony while pretending that it wants the best for
you. Egos never want the best for us because egos can only exist in
unhappiness. In absolute happiness ego dissolves like a drop of dew in
the sunlight.

because someone else asked a question
about it, and I had decided to answer it here, in
Your Open Classroom. Here is what
she wrote to me:

And here is an answer to her question:
The ego is synonymous with the false self. The
ego cannot possibly want the best for us because
the ego exists in drama, in falseness, in highs
and lows, in suffering.
The ego cannot exist in true happiness. The ego
can exist only in duality. The happiness of the
ego is a false happiness, designed to keep you
in maya -- illusion, delusion, and
seclusion from your true self. The ego exists in
this world of duality, so the so-called happiness
of the ego always has an opposite. The ego is
always on a roller coaster ride of ups and
downs, desire, greed, and need. Our true self
exists above this world.
Yes, there are many levels of existence. There
IS a higher world. When we align with our
heart connected to divine intelligence, we begin
to experience this higher world, even while we
are here on earth. You can walk and talk in this
world, while at the same time living in a higher
world.
