"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them." --Thoreau.........
Our work in the school helps us to build firm foundations of truth. Thank you dear Teacher and classmates for being part of my schooling!
Nice quote by Thoreau, Kevin. Thanks for sharing it. Of course, the school itself cannot build a foundation for anything...unless we show-up and do the work. The happiness that comes from understanding truth is worth the effort. So keep showing up for your school, Kevin, and it will keep showing up for you.
ReplyDeleteThoreau was a man who found his way out of human misery into the clear light of understanding, through his own effort. He also said, regarding his decision to pursue something greater than ordinary life, (and ordinary life is always misery) "I did not wish to live what was not life."
When we consistently apply ourselves to our spiritual teachings and enlightenment, we begin to have a real life. Having a false life is misery. A real and authentic life is happiness.
Keep showing up Kevin! Keep sharing!
Thanks, teacher, for this. I always benefit from writing in our open classroom, or even when I just visit, to read something. Sometimes I do not want to make the effort to write, but when I do, greater rewards come to me.
ReplyDeleteAs you say, "When we consistently apply ourselves to our spiritual teachings and enlightenment, we begin to have a real life. Having a false life is misery. A real and authentic life is happiness."
Thank you Kevin,
