Here is the message I emailed you all today. After you read and contemplate it, click to find out what it means. This is a test I was taught (along with others) when I was in graduate school, getting my training in clinical social work. It is a simple and valid test of self-discovery.
Dearest Students,
You are in a white room. The walls, ceiling, and floor are white. There are no windows or doors. You do not know how you got into the room. You can see no way out of the room. Describe what you are doing in this room.
Your answer to this question is meant to give you information on how you view death. When I took I took it years ago, in grad school, my response was to sit down in the room and begin to meditate. You are welcome to share your own responses here.
Dear Judy, dear classmates,
ReplyDeletemy first thought was, that I would walk around that room, to see how much space there is around me.

Dear Judy, dear classmates
ReplyDeletei sat down in the room - loving the clear white space around me - enjoying the nothingness, no distraction, no people, nothing! i loved it. My spiritual master appeared and Angels where around me to comfort me! it was soooo peaceful and i was all in bliss. i love this room!

Dear Judy and classmate,
ReplyDeleteIt is strange, I don't think that I am frightened of death, sometimes I even look forward to it. But this wight room frightened me, no window, no door, all on my own, no way to get out, no way to communicate with anybody. I hope I will find one day the peace to sit down, meditate and feel the presence of the angels.
Love, Gabi
I had the same response as Indira. I sat down to meditate because I felt completely relaxed and relieved, loved and surrounded by the white/light. Ahhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteDear classmates, dear Judy!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was similar to Judy's and Debra's: To sit down, enjoy the light in this room, enjoy the silence and peace in there as well as to enjoy the beauty of this chance to be with myself, connecting with my heart and the angels and all that is!
Love to all, Sandra
Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences. Here is mine. When I was in the white room, I was in a corner, both hands stretched out to touch the walls. Then I noticed that the room was moving -- it was flying through space, or at least I guessed it was space, since I couldn't see outside. I felt like I was in a rocket ship soaring through space and it was exciting. I felt exhilarated, even though I didn't know where I was going. I thought, all I have to do is relax and do nothing and the room will take me where I need to go.
ReplyDeleteI'm finally back and will post my experience. In the white room I had a strong desire to just lay there on the floor. It was very peaceful and I felt so happy with the silence in the room. The white light was healing.Even I was alone there I felt I was carried somehow.
