  1. Hi Richard,
I had to look this guy up after reading the quote about thinking (I agree that quote... from personal experience, I know it to be true.. I feel best when I am still and peaceful and feeling the flow, instead of "thinking" too much), and the artwork mentioning "great bunches of wildflowers in your arms".

The website said he is one of the first poets to read his work to a background of jazz... And I am thought of your name... Jazzolog. :-)

I read his poem, Pastoral and liked it.

  2. His poem/art appeared on the covers of some "new left" magazines in the mid- and late-50s, and that's how I first found out about him I think. Then I read his love poems to his wife Miriam. Absolute heaven! I tried to get every book he had published up to that time, and I think I have some pretty valuable volumes. I wrote my college thesis on him.

  3. When I read about him yesterday, I remember it mentioning that the story of him and his wife was quite a real-life love story. Is there a book about them that you really enjoyed? I love to read, especially non-fiction about people's lives.

What is one of his love poems, in your opinion?

  4. I meant to ask, "What is one of his best love poems to his wife, in your opinion?" (I will have to check it out.)
