What do you consider as "fun" in your life? As you grow and evolve on your spiritual path, your idea of "fun" may change. You may naturally be drawn away from certain people and situations, or they may be drawn away from you. You may come to love the quietness of your own company. You may become your own best entertainment. The need to seek something or someone on the outside may lessen. You may experience yourself like a stream, simply flowing, in the present moment wherever you are, wherever you need to be. Life will be lived more effortlessly, because there will be no "me" there, thinking it must direct and control the way to go. You will no longer think you must "go" somewhere and "do" something to have fun. You will be having fun right where you are, right who you are!
This is so true, Indira. My ideas of fun are changing and so, somehow, are my friendships. Some become more meaningful and others fall away. I am less and less interested in the dramas. Remember when I wrote awhile ago about losing my girlfriend? I thought it was the worst thing at the time, but I've come to see that it was the best thing. When I let life flow the way it flows, I am in the flow. Actually, I can't "let" life flow....as if I have that much control over anything...but I can come into harmony with the way life is flowing.
