Sogyal Rinpoche

I like this quote from Sogyal Rinpoche. It is what your School says -- do not identify with and thus empower that which is false. Good words to live by...when we can remember.

Sogyal Rinpoche:
What does it mean to love yourself?

"It means to embrace every aspect of your being with unconditional love. On a deeper level, it means letting your buddha nature, your inherent, fundamental goodness, manifest and love the whole of you completely, including all your ordinary messy, and confused aspects. It is allowing the light to shine from within and dispel the darkness of ignorance.

Loving yourself means embracing yourself without any judgment. You do not judge your negativity and your habitual tendencies, because they are not solid or real. It is only because you believe in them and strengthen them, through constant repetition, that they appear so solid and strong. In actuality they are not strong at all. Realizing this, you see that they are not that solid and they are not that powerful."

Showing Up

Often times we stop showing up for our spiritual self, our spiritual work, when our life takes a turn for the better. This can be especially true when we have had a long 'dry' spell -- a period of loneliness or unhappiness -- followed by suddenly getting what we 'want' (maybe a new relationship, a great job, outer adoration) -- that brings us joy. Joy is great! Angels love to bring tidings of great joy, and they always do, even when we cannot heed them.

Still, times of great joy are times to stay focused upon your spiritual path. We do not want to turn to God only in times of misfortune--anyone can do that--we want to turn to God even in times of good fortune. We want to remember God in good times, bad times, all times.

Your connection with God and angels can deepen immeasurably when you remember to stay focused and grateful in times of great joy, as well as in times of despair--and all the times in between.

Kierkegaard was a wise man

New Open Classroom

I like the new Open Classroom look, Indira. You have added a lot more to it. I like how the school just keeps getting better, expanding with creativity and newness. It never stays the same. Just like we are always growing and changing, like life is always changing. The Open Classroom is a perfect example of this.

Do good, feel good.

Try this. Not really as an exercise in doing good, but as an exercise in awareness -- which our school is all about -- being aware. When you find yourself complaining (in your mind) about a situation you are in, a place you are, anything at all -- ask yourself, how can I improve this? Can I say something kind? Can I just keep my mouth shut? (sometimes that is the kindest thing :)  Can I do some actual physical work to make things better? So -- basically the question is: Can I leave the place or situation better than I found it?

I tried this today. I was in a public restroom and when I walked in I saw someone had thrown a pile of paper towels on the floor. Thoughts went through my head, like -- This looks terrible! I should tell someone in charge who can pick these up!! Then I thought, why don't I just pick them up and throw them away myself? And so I did. It took me a couple of minutes. And I felt good. I still feel good thinking about it.

When we Do good, we FEEL good. That's another cosmic law. So -- try it. You'll be glad you did!

Rules for a Scientist

I found these "rules" for a scientist to be interesting and worth looking at, so here they are:
"Even if you're not a scientist, these are good rules for anyone to live by. The 11 Commandments of a Scientist."

Snow!

This is where I grew up and where I am going December 15. Into the snow belt of western New York State. This is what the thruway looks like today! And it isn't even the first day of winter yet! I will need plenty of snow angels!

And here is a car buried in snow. Oh my!
I have to fly into here soon! To spend
Christmas with my Mom. Oh my!

Realize you are asleep

Every sleeping person is convinced he is awake. -Vernon Howard

Yes, as your lessons teach you -- the most important step on your spiritual path is to know that you are unconscious (asleep). If you do not know you are asleep, how can you wake up? Sleeping people believe they are awake!!! This accounts for most everyone in the world. Sleeping people walk around believing they are awake.

So be one of the few. REALIZE YOU ARE ASLEEP! This is your only hope for waking up. Every problem in your life happens because you are asleep.

Angels love all kinds of weather

Do you know that angels love all kinds of weather? Angels are not dependent on the sun for light, as we are. Angels shine with their own light! You shine with your own light too. When you are living from your heart, even the most somber winter day can seem warm and peaceful—because real peace is independent of any experience. Even the most somber moment can be filled with peace—because peace is the backdrop upon which everything is written.

Happy Relationships

Science says lasting relationships come down to—you guessed it—kindness and generosity. This is good reading for all of us, because all of us are involved in relationships constantly, and what works for couples also works in our relationships with each other, our families, at home and at work, with the earth itself -- and certainly with God and Angels. So please do read these when you get the chance.

Sharing your experience of Your School

Word-of-mouth is a great way to pass along good news! You may gift others with the School.Tell friends, family, and associates about your experience in your School. Post information on your social networks. Send people to my official website if they want to know more about the School.

Having friends, family, and associates around you who are also taking the lessons speeds up your own transformation because you are on the ‘same page’ and can share the work together. Sharing life with people who are dedicated to waking up is one of the best ways for you to grow closer to Truth.

A Perfect Rainbow

We see only part of life and so we miss the perfect wholeness,
the perfect circle, and the Light.

NASA recently posted this photo of a rainbow taken from a helicopter. Most people see rainbows from the ground, which makes them look like an arch. But when you see a rainbow from the air, you can see it's actually a full circle.

New Lessons Have Arrived

Dear Everyone,
Your new lessons flew through cyberspace to you yesterday. The very first students are now on Lesson 73, called, 'God is Here". That is the lesson I wrote after I got back from Europe a few days ago, while I was still jet lagged (still am).

Take some time to read your new lessons and apply them to your lives. The energy of the angels is in each lesson, in the words and the silence between the words. As you go throughout your day today, imagine that you are breathing a big breath of angelic energy. Whatever color you need. Maybe soft pink or blue. Maybe some other color.

Take a big breath right now. See the angels around you, if only in your imagination, filling the atmosphere with their colors of light and love. Breathe in all the love you need. Breath in encouragement. The power of God. Strength. Light. Enthusiasm.

Yes! Whatever you must do today, you can do with great love and enthusiasm. Enjoy your new lessons!

Beautiful Time.

I took this photo in Christel's garden in Maulburg, Germany (Black Forest). We have been meeting there for -- it must 19 years (right?) for seminars. The seminar there this year was very very deep. Those who made the time to attend added so much to the weekend -- and benefited so much! It was an honor to serve you. See you there next year. Start planning now so you can have that weekend free (Sept 30-Oct. 8) right after the weekend in Oberwil (Sept. 23-29).

Flying

Early tomorrow morning, November 4, I return to the USA. Penny and I will be on a 12-hour non-stop flight to Los Angeles. I have chocolate-covered rice cakes, so everything should be just fine. Looking forward to California sunshine, but loving the rain here in Mainz.

It has been a beautiful 2014 European Tour with beautiful people. Thank you all who made this journey peaceful and easy, and those of you who gave your time and energy to attend a talk, reading, and/or seminar. The work here was very deep. Each year it gets deeper. This has a lot to do with students who attend seminars. Your energy adds a powerful force to the seminars, since each of you is acquiring a profound understanding as you read your lessons and practice your homework.

I am grateful -- eternally and forever -- with love, as always, Judy aka Indira and the angels (and Penny).
