Living NOW!!!
Notice when you are comparing your now to another now, which means you are not in the now, and if you not in the now, you can never be happy, since happiness happens only in the now.
please help me to better understand the significance of this wonderful message.
".... when you are comparing your now to another now...": What is the meaning for the "other now"?
For example, could "the other now" be a past episode in my life (idealized) when I felt happy and to which I am comparing my present now to? That I may be living in the past instead of living in the now/present?
Carina, you have a good understanding already. Yes, comparison with any other state results in unhappiness--when we think the other state is better than the one we are in. You are correct also about idealizing a past experience in your life and comparing THIS now to THAT now. When we are in negative comparison, we are out of the present moment. Happiness is only in the present moment.
